We stayed in July for two nights- had two rooms. If you want to be in Bar Harbor this is hands down the place to stay. Even better than expected! The hospitality of the innkeepers is second-to-none! The breakfasts were fantastic. And they made a special gluten free coffee cake of sorts for snacking which was wonderful! And for those...

Many thanks for your kind EXCELLENT review and your stay with us last July. We're glad the positive experience is still staying with you 6 months later. We love catering to whatever our guests need to feel welcome and 'at home.' Hope to see you again when you hear the call of the beautiful, rugged Maine coast once again. Cheers!

This was a beautiful Inn that was spotlessly clean everywhere. The room was beautiful and the bed was super comfortable. The assistant Inn keeper could not be more helpful. Every evening there was a limitless wine and cheese table set out. The "guest pantry" was always stocked with coffee, tea, soda and fresh cookies. The common areas were so cozy....

My husband and I stayed here last summer, and I didn't even bother seriously considering any other hotels or B&Bs when I started planning our trip to Bar Harbor for this summer; you just can't beat this place. We've agreed that the only downside to staying at the Bass Cottage Inn is that it sets the bar unrealistically high for...

I’ll just say ditto to all of the earlier superlative reviews … and leave readers with one suggestion … allow yourself some time to enjoy the Inn’s wonderful interior spaces … every furnishing and accessory feels like it was meant to be in its space … my personal favorite was enjoying early morning coffee in the parlor next to the...

The location is perfect, right off Main St, but feels secluded. The Inn is as beautiful as all the photos! Happy Hour every evening with lovely hors d'oeuvres. Breakfast is 3 different choices every morning-each one equally delicious and spectacular in presentation! Nice does not begin to describe the owners or staff. Everyone is super and really wants to make...

Loved the wine of an evening and drinks/snacks which were plentiful - made for a lovely...
