I couldn't recommend the rooms more. Get an ocean view and listen to the roar of the surf as you wake every morning. As a place to land and relax it's a great destination. If you're looking to do the north shore, or Honolulu be aware this is pretty removed from both. If you're looking for resort-y / spa activities this is a perfect destination. Don't waste your money in the restaurants. Our first morning there I was served some Tostitos corn chips with underseasoned scrambled eggs for breakfast and left unimpressed.
One of my favorite resort! Everything was perfect, accommodation, food and pools! The keiki pool is next to the family pool, so it was easy for our daughter to switch between both. Only a few cabanas are available so during the peak season, make sure to reserve one in advance. Regarding the food: NOE restaurant was my favorite one. We enjoyed Mina’s fish house as well, but I liked NOE more. Their tiramisu is just WOW. Going back there in a few months! Can’t wait!
This place is a first class resort that goes above and beyond to make sure you have an incredible experience, from the moment we scheduled our trip to our departure. This will be the only place we stay on Oahu, we will never forget our experience there.
For families- especially with younger children- there isn’t a better spot in Oahu. Parents can almost have a really relaxing vacation while the kids are entertained and safe on the property. The calm lagoon, great eats, fantastic pool service, Reggie’s Shaved Ice and chill location are all highlights.
We enjoyed as much or more than the four seasons Maui and four seasons Hualalai. Service was excellent. Dining options were abundant. Adult pool is over the top with the best views. Only drawback is workout area is not a ten.
I was really torn on writing this review as to whether this was going to be 3 stars or 4 stars, and ultimately landed on 4 stars based on the whole stay. The “first impression” of the experience on the property was terrible. The front desk check-in was not helpful at all, they did not provide any information on the hotel (except pointing out their two boutiques). In a resort property, giving a brief lay of the land is critical (more on that below). Then heading up to the room, it was clear that the renovation of the old JW Marriott property was more of a cosmetic update, accordingly, the rooms and interior of the hotel looked dated. I then headed down to the beach (without any information on where I was going) and immediately found that the beach was shared with the neighboring Disney Resort, and all the kids that came along with that. I could tell on Google Maps that the Disney Resort was nearby, but the hotel’s pictures were misleading with the shared beach. Thankfully the beach attendant told me about the adults only pool. I then got ready for my dinner reservations at Mina’s Fish House and proceeded to have terrible service. So by the end of day 1, I was rethinking my choice in hotels. However, the start of the second day things improved, breakfast service was great, and as you would expect for a Four Seasons property, and the adults only infinity pool was very nice with great pool attendants. I then had a fantastic dinner with great service at Noe. Rest of the trip went well. Highlights - Balcony in the room with outstanding views and comfortable furniture - Adult infinity pool - Dr Main Tai’s poolside bar - Concierge was able to book me several off property activities (such as a surf lesson) and pre-arrival communication was great - Walkable nature of the near-by lagoons to get a morning walk / run in - Service at breakfast and Noe Lowlights - Not typical Four Seasons-level service - Dated feel of property - Shared beach with Disney resort - Water pressure in shower - Kids pool with people “reserving” chairs first thing in the morning (when spending $2k per night on a room, that just has a trashy vibe to it)…
The staff at this Four Seasons resort is by far the best service at any resort I’ve ever been to. They are knowledgeable and kind and everything you would want on a vacation. The only drawback to this location was that we were there the same week they had a corporate attorney conference happens. Imagine sipping a Mai Tai in the pool with 100 lawyers talking about work? 😵💫 To add salt to the wound, we heard numerous times about the great rate for them that week. Meanwhile we are there paying at a full rate to hear attorney-talk all.week.long. To say the least, we did a lot of excursions outside the property. Thankfully the concierge’s were amazing at planning and coordinating for us.
This is a very well run Four Seasons, great restaurants and conference support. The only (slight) downside it is not like a FourSeasons on a small remote Island, Oahu is highly populated and there are some businesses and industrial locations not far from this property.
The Four Seasons is an excellent place to stay and outstanding in everything. Being there for a business trip I was positively surprised by the excellent and friendly service and cleanliness. Definitely a place worth going!
We took to adjoining rooms and had plenty of space for four of us. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds and the Four Seasons service. Plenty to do - pools, beach, pickle ball, yoga. We really enjoyed our time
