We absolutely loved it here. If you are into the whole Waikiki tourist scene with the downtown bustle, throngs of people, expensive shopping, busy beaches, high end luxury accommodations, etc... then this is not the place for you. We wanted to go to Hawaii to really experience the tranquility and beauty of the place, and we found that in Kaneohe.... More

If they dropped the "Resort" and added "Tranquility Retreat" or something like that, they would attract they type of people that would enjoy this type of place. It is most definitely not a resort, and I assume they would get a much better rating if they didn't sell it as such. It is located in a neighborhood and doesn't look... More

Aloha Ginger, Mahalo for your recent review. Your suggestion about a name change has been talked about with our owners, so thank you for that. Glad to see you enjoyed yourself and got to relax on the bay. Thanks again for your review and comments. With Warmest Aloha, Earl More

My visiting sister and I had a couple days staycation here so we could be close to activities in surrounding area without fighting traffic from other side of island. What a welcome surprise! Aloha Night Dinner was outstanding! Our room had a relaxing, beautiful view of the bay... we enjoyed the pool to ourselves... the staff was friendly and helpful...... More

Quiet area so no restaurants to walk to so you'll need a car. Lovely views if you get a good room. We upgraded after being put in a box room between other rooms with no view or proper seating area. Lovely pool and jacuzzi open late. Bbqs available for use. Nice breakfast although we had a power cut one day... More

Aloha, Thank you for taking time to review your stay with us. I apologize for the power outage and for the cancellation of dinner. Our Chef was not feeling well that day and thought it would be better to cancel dinner rather than put out a sub-standard meal. Again, my apologizes. Mahalo for choosing us and we hope you will... Beautiful place, loved it was out of way and in the natural habitat of Oahu. Friday night buffet prepared by Chef Pedro was awesome. Nice variety with a curry chicken, fresh fish, local fresh vegetables including yummy beets. Perfect ending was a homemade cheesecake! Glad we still have 5 more days here and we will definitely be back

Our stay at Paradise Bay Resort was amazing. We loved the tranquil, serene atmosphere. Tom and Lindsey at the front desk were polite and courteous, and helped us with our every need. The Sandbar Boat Excursion & Reef Snorkel Adventure was a blast for adult and kids. Kaipo and Josiah did an outstanding job making sure that everyone on board... More

Lovely private waterfront cabins overlooking a shallow picturesque bay. Kayaks and SUPs freely available to use to paddle out to the sandbar to swim. Coral reef son the way much more interesting and the best for snorkeling. Turtles everywhere. If you are going for the beach or with children keep in mind you need to drive to one or paddle... More

Stayed for three nights in October. Don't bother! I was aware of some of the negatives mentioned in reviews so I went with low expectations. They were too high. The word "resort" doesn't belong anywhere near the name of this place. It has none of the facilities of even a basic motel - no bar, no restaurant, no A/C (unless... More

Beautiful setting. However, rooms are very very noisy- adjacent rooms are only separated by closed (locked) door. Can hear conversations, TV etc from people in next room. A/C LOUD. Rooms above, can hear stomping and conversations. Buffet breakfast good.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aloha! We are very excited to announce the completion of our room and property renovations. We will continue to enhance the property as other resorts do, however the bulk of work is complete. We appreciate all of the input we received both positive and negative and we have used it to get to the point we are today. We were recently awarded the 2014 TripAdvisor Award of Excellence. We are blessed to be part of what we all consider to be the most beautiful tropical setting in the Hawaiian Islands. Now the property, accommodations and warm staff complement our surroundings. We call ourselves True Hawaii and what does that mean? Our setting reveals the answer. We are located in a panorama of spectacular natural and tropical beauty, from amazing Hawaiian mountain ranges and lush tropical landscape, to beautiful Kaneohe Bay, Chinaman's Hat Island and out to the Pacific Ocean. We border an ancient Hawaiian fishpond surrounded by lush tropical mangroves. The Kahuona Fishpond is one of the last remaining working fishponds and is designated a historical site. We are the only resort property with private access to Kaneohe Bay. Kaneohe Bay hosts the most abundant and diverse sea life and reef system in the Hawaiian Islands and our guests can access it safely right from the resort. Our design fits with the environment and has a contemporary and authentic Hawaiian look and feel. We thank our guests who have stayed with us in the past and helped to support us. We appreciate your patience with the renovations and know you will be delighted on your next stay. The property, guest rooms, new amenities, services and warm staff are here to take care of you. We offer our guests the same entertainment, special Saturday sand bar excursion and we have added a few more; a Friday evening Firedance Show, additional live Hawaiian music and surprise cultural classes. We have added some new things such as; a fitness room, Wi-Fi, on call spa service, new pool and hot tub, new floating lounge areas, conference room, intimate wedding ceremonies and we are pet friendly. We have renovated and upgraded our guestrooms with; new furnishings, artwork, premium pillow top mattresses, luxurious bedding and linens as well as new flat screen TV's and IPod docks.Kayak use is still included and we also have Standup Paddle Boards and private boat charter available. We look forward to seeing you the next time you come to Paradise. Warm Aloha, David and Stephanie Ryan ... more   less
