I needed a place to get away from it all. Spyglass was perfect. I stayed in the Crows Nest, and upstairs room with a balcony, overlooking the garden and the ocean. The grounds are tranquil, filled with flowers and have one gorgeous view after another. The inn's hot-tub is the perfect way to relax after a long day of loafing....

We stayed at The Spyglass House for 14 nights in July 2008, in the Crow's Nest. We thought this was a nice place to stay. The location was beautiful - the house is right beside the ocean and the garden is lovely. We enjoyed eating our breakfast on the verranda looking out at the ocean. And Paia is a cool...

All I can say is "wow." UNBELIEVABLE PRIVACY AND STUNNING OCEAN VIEWS!!! The place was not a five star hotel. We stayed in the Dolphin House. We were two couples who shared the front half of the house for a very reasonable price. QUICK STORY - We had a terrible beginning in Maui. We planned to go camping, but we...

We stayed there for several days in October. Property is beautiful and perfectly located near Paia. Very close to swimming beach and surfing. We loved being right on the water. There's a nice benh for watching the surf while you're sipping your morning coffee. It's right near Mama's Fish House, too. The room was small, but just right for us....

We had a nice 3 day stay at this B&B. The properties are beautiful, as was the blue room. It is far from cheap, but compared to the hotel prices on Maui a good bargain. We can recommend it.

The Spyglass property is near Paia, one of the best places to stay in Maui if you don't like condos and big anonymous resorts. The house (actually there are two houses) are just outside the village on the coast facing the ocean in the middle of a quiet and green area. Outside the houses are nice, there's an amazing garden...

You don't want to stay here. You might want to stop by and pet the nice cats and the sweet dog. You might want to look at the beautiful view from the grounds which is even prettier than on their website. You might enjoy the capacious living room and kitchen in Spyglass house proper. HOWEVER. The house next door on...

As frequent traveller around the world (mostly for business), we get very tired of the very nice, but quite standard and predictable hotel chains . During our holiday in Maui island, we wanted to find a place where we would be able to feel the elements and be close to the admirable nature of the island, while still having a...

My husband and I spent our first 6 days of our 18 day vacation at the Spyglass House. It was a perfect place to unwind from the busy workdays we had just left behind. We were one of three rooms in the house, and shared a bathroom with one other guestroom - but it was not a problem for us...

“We were really lucky: We paid for one of the rooms that had a shared bath, and no one joined us the two nights we were there, so we got an entire house all to ourselves. Before you book, consider e-mailing the owner and seeing if she can give you any heads up about how booked the place is. It would be a shame to pay extra for the suite if both other bedrooms stayed open, and if no one else is renting any of the space for the time you're there, you should definitely get a room there! An amazing deal.”
