First. Don’t believe the negative reviews. I loved this resort. 2nd time I had been there as a time share owner. Super clean. Very accommodating considering COVID restrictions. I only gave 4 out of 5 because not all the restaurants were open. However my recent experience was by far excellent in every way. The oceanfront views were amazing. The beach was clean and water was perfect. The pool bar provide food and drinks. While the resort doesn’t provide free chairs for beach you can rent them easily. My husband and I fully enjoyed this resort. Don’t be afraid to come here. It was amazing. Mahalo.

We have been coming to Maui and staying in our time share here for many years. It is the BEST beach location on the west side of Maui. If you are not an owner and are planning to rent from a website, just know that you cannot be assured you will get ocean facing unless you are an owner booking your home property. All views are based on availability at the time of check-ion unless you OWN and reserve that deeded view. Wade out a few feet into the ocean and find the best snorkeling on the west side of the island. We purchased ocean view property over 15 years ago and the views are spectacular. The interior and exterior of the property has been very well maintained throughout the years - especially for a property that is a #1 destination and gets continually use. If anything is not up to par, the front dest and maintenance have always taken care of things very quickly. Our most recent visit was late summer 2021 while COVID is still a huge problem for Hawaii. None the less - the hotel staff could not have been nicer or safer. EVERY employee wore a mask both inside and outside - always. Adequate separation is provided and cleaning protocol is excellent. They exceeded our expectations every day and I cannot stress enough how wonderful the local staff at the hotel and all business around have been. They do all they can to make your stay incredible - and are working longer shifts and doing more that you will every realize. Mahalo to Westin KORV - we appreciate you very much.

We stayed at the north villas. This was our first time there but we were really disappointed. I had booked a ocean view room but when we got the room we were on the 1st floor with a room of the pool. This was NOT what I was expecting. Anyways we figured it was ok. So we unpacked and stayed there for the night and the next evening when i wanted to do some dishes because the silverware looked liked they were not washed so wanted to wash them before using them. I opened the dishwasher and there was a whole community of cockroaches living in the dishwasher and some of the them got into the kitchen area. I was so shocked so I called the number that we were told to call at check in if we needed anything. When I told the lady what was going on in the room she said she could send someone the next morning to take care of it. That's insane so I told her I wanted that taken care of immediately to which she mentioned she would check. So I marched to the front desk and told them what was going on. The receptionist was great (Jerry) and he offered me another room immediately and was very apologetic. So finally we got a pest free room and the rest of the stay went well. I have stayed in many Westin hotels previously but this was the most disappointing. The custom service really needs to improve and also their cleaning protocols especially in these times. Having a dishwasher full of cockroaches is not anyone's idea of a vacation. I would be cautious about staying here. The good part of the hotel is easy access to the beach.

Just stayed a week. Been before several times but it is apparent that they have not invested in maintaining the quality that first drew people here. Found ants crawling in our sheets and pillows the first night. Barely an apology without any compensation. Speaking with other guests this seems to be a common occurrence. Found many disgruntled owners especially after Marriot organization took over. It’s a beautiful location but I won’t be coming back.

First off, hotel grounds and lobby and nice very family friendly. This is our first time to this location we were placed on the north one. Previously we stayed at the nanea next door which was absolutely beautiful and well kept. The bad: The room: We booked an ocean front on a special rate, we got the room and to our surprise the ocean front was a nice view of the food truck at ground level. With a little bit of views of hedges and a tad of the ocean. The only other option she gave us was a 3rd level in the corner next to the lobby so we stuck with our room. Now we did like the fact that is was close walking wise to the bar and pools/ ocean entrance but finding and navigating around this resort is confusing. Wayfinding definately needs to be improved here, we met several people in the halls that asked us where to go and we had no clue. The rooms are outdated, not very clean and our shower like other reviews had mentioned had hair still in the shower... Now we looked past it but considering covid "procedures" you would think the room would be even more clean than the usual... Apparently not. Our deck on the ground level also seemed to be the garbage dump for people with balconies to throw their butts and garbage off of. We were told we had to check out at 10am due to covid cleaning, our departure time was for 11:30pm. We did manage to get it till 12pm which was typical for all the other hotels we stayed at on this island during this trip. So not much of an extension. The grounds: Like others have mentioned, it's used very used ... Needs some TLC , still nice but there is garbage everywhere, masks, plastic cups and straws. Ripped chairs, people love to hog 10 chairs for a family and keep them the entire day. We went to the beach during our 2 days and did not touch the pools, the hot tubs are small used and not very clean either and are claimed by families or groups of adults for most of the day. If you are lucky like us we managed to sneak in when 2 or 3 people would leave. Food: Was not really operating , their food truck by the bar you have to order at the front of the bar then wait, it's essentially take out and the same for the bar. The restaurant was closed during our stay. Lava flows are good. But you can still sit around the bar at the tables. Parking: free first day of you valet, then charge you each day after. Valet was 25$ a day. The lounge: for people checking out and departing later. The way it was explained to us was a lounge to shower and such, now because we were at the north location we had to go next door to the other block which if you are carrying bags and such is a giant pain. To our surprise the lounge was just a room with chairs no washrooms or showers you are just using the gym showers and such so if you need q tips or a washcloth bring your own, if we knew this we would have brought this stuff. Overall: not impressed I would not say this place is up to Westin standards, it's a great place for families and we met many lovely people but the place needs some major TLC. We were told they are understaffed which we get it, but certain things like cleaning the rooms and saying extra time is needed and the rooms are not even cleaned properly is not an excuse. Nice place but personally we were not impressed with this place but I'm sure many other people may like this place better than we did.
