We suggest doing it big! Buy the tickets that cost a bit more to enter first...and be seated with a Blue Hawaiian drink! Oh, plus you'll get a lei and be seated up front close to the entertainment. THE ENTERTAINMENT was realllllly good! Grant it,...More
Lovely pool & hottub mature tropical oasis! Friendly staff, helpful concierge. Great location, beach directly across the street. Park with large sea turtles a short walk. Walkable to restaurants, stores & variety of shops. Quiet location.
I exchanged a week of my condo timeshare for this resort as a gift to my kids for their honeymoon. The room was very small and had no window at all - don't be fooled by the room description that says "no view". This does...More
Booked a week stay through our timeshare and we were placed on a very small room with extremely inadequate ventilation. It was very humid and the only window was above the headboard and open to the hallways. Had the bathroom vent running day and night....More

The room was fine honestly, We didn't have any complaints, other than a few ants when we left food out on the counter, which was silly on our part. for activities, we book whale watching with Makai Adventures, and it was great. Skyline Eco Adventures runs ziplining in Kaanapali and over on Haleakala as well. We've done both, and would recommend either, though Haleakala might be better for the first time. Pick any beach from Napili down to the Aquarium, and you will find one that you like more than others. Mostly depends what type of beach you want. I like the beach just south of Mama Leota's pies. Water is fairly shallow, and you can park and walk 20 steps to the water. For views, I like Hookipa beach, over towards Paia. Honestly, the Road to Hana, and the hike up to Waimoku Falls is my favorite thing to do. There are some pleasant surprises on that hike, like the bamboo. Plan some time for shopping on Front Street in Lahaina. There are some cool shops there. Our favorite breakfast spot is the Sunrise Cafe in Lahaina, pretty affordable, but so is Slappy Cakes, next to the Times grocery store. The Safeway is Lahaina is further away than the Times, but better prices and selection. Ok, enough ranting. Set aside a little chill time, its easy to run yourself to exhaustion. Enjoy, and feel free to reach out again if you have more questions.

We did an RCI exchange and were given a tiny "studio" room. It faced the parking lot and highway and was terribly noisy. Two days later we were able to upgrade for about $70/night to the much nicer one bedroom unit with living room and dining room. It saved our vacation.
