We took our first vacation in a year and came to stay here. Having stayed at the other Westin Kaanapali resorts, we were eager to try out Nanea and it didn't disappoint. The resort did a good job of adhering to covid guidelines - the guest count was down, it felt like occupancy in rooms was spread out, you had to take the elevator by yourself (family unit), staff reminded you to keep masks on while on property, there was no midweek housekeeping, you had to keep your masks on at the fitness center and it was headcount limited, dining was only outdoors, and they tried with little tags on chairs to suggest whether it was sanitized or not. No resort can be perfect especially when you are dealing with other humans, but we greatly appreciated the effort and it was so nice to just get away to some semblance of a vacation. Would love to come back in the future and do it post-covid.…
Westin Nanea always makes you feel like home. Staff remembers kids names day to day. But the best team member on deck is Matt year after year. From year 1 he handles his biz with an A+. Travel often and Matt could be a service team member anywhere.
Just returned home from Nanea. Beautiful hotel! Very clean. Staff supplied us with anything we needed for our room during these crazy times. Unfortunately COVID has Maui on heavy lock down - limited dining hours, capacity, as well as the shops and tours. Made the best of the trip with friends who have never been to Hawaii. Huge shout out to Burton B., concierge at Westin Nanea Ocean Villas! Born and raised in Hawaii. Coordinated trips for our group, gave us key information about what to see and do for first time visitors to Maui. He made sure that the activities we chose were done in a particular order, on a certain day and time so we could get the best experience possible. It made a huge difference! He also told us where the best breakfast on the island was, and where to purchase fresh fish and meat for the grill on the premises. I cannot wait to return! It was a pleasure to work with Burton and I'd highly recommend seeking him out to help you plan your future excursions on the Maui island.…
Recent stay with a problematic neighboring guest. Quick, thorough, quality responses from Samoa and the Westin security team to ensure rules are followed. Warm and caring staff and Tuti at front desk was gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend staying on property
This hotel is clean and new. We stayed in a 3 bedroom suite and the rooms, kitchen, and bathrooms were beautiful and luxurious. We had oceanfront, which is worth the upgrade. The only restaurant (food service) available at the hotel was the pool bar & grill. It had a very limited menu & closed every day at 5pm. If you get back to hotel from an excursion after 5, you have to go off property to find dinner unless you buy groceries and cook. We also missed having house-keeping service as we stayed for a week. We had to call down often & wait for towels, etc. All the hot tubs were closed, as was the adult pool. This made it very difficult to find a chair by the pool. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort. However, I would wait to visit here again until covid restrictions have been lifted. …
