Dear Sophie and Art, We had a lovely stay. We loved our leisurely mornings sitting on the lanai with a full ocean view. I loved getting up in the night and seeing the moonlight reflecting a wide path in the water. We saw rainbows every day often from the lanai. It was peaceful and quiet. The condo itself was great....

We travelled all the way from England to visit Maui for the first time and wanted a small, quiet condo on the beach with privacy. Maui Kai was just what we wanted and we booked through one of the owners, Donna Bender. Our oceanfront balcony was totally private - our neighbours couldn't see us and neither could people on the...

We recently stayed at Maui Kai 301 for a two week vacation, celebrating our 25th anniversary. Hawaii and the beautiful condo were both like a dream come true! I spent the first few days saying "it doesn't look real"! The first time we walked onto the lania a turtle was in the water right in front of us, saying hi!...

We booked through Donna Bender who owns a unit in the building. We had a great stay at Maui Kai 807. Great location and great beach! The unit is ocean front and looks out over Molakai, Lanai, and Oahu in the distance. Had we been there during whale season I couldn't imagine a better spot for viewing. The grounds are...

DH and i stayed at the maui kai (unit 506) for a week in august. we booked a package (air, car, condo) through expedia. it was GREAT. the location was perfect. we loved sitting on the lanai every evening watching the sunset. yes, the building is dated. yes, some of the decor/furnishings could use some sprucing up. but really, if...

Maui Kai is just perfect for us. We stayed in Unit #406 - a studio apartment. They've recently renovated the kitchen - it's beautiful! We spend a lot of time out on the lanai watching the ocean & enjoying the whales. We saw many full breaches right from there. It's not unusual to see surfers, kite surfers, wind surfers, paddlers...

Our 18th visit to Maui (from So. Cal.) Agree with all the good things already said. Can say that we would not even go to Hawaii if we couldn't stay at the Maui Kai!

We recently returned from 2 wonderful weeks in Maui. The place we chose to stay was unit 406 at Maui Kai in Kaanapali. It turned out to be a great choice. Recently updated it very comfortable. A big time resort it is not. A great place with a spectacular view and right on the water it is. A central location...

We loved this place. It is right on the ocean, in fact, the lanai looks right out to the ocean. The fully stocked kitchen allows you to save a bit of money on eating out every night. You don't have to think about bringing anything with you, an iron, ironing board, all the dishes, cups, silverware, pots and pans, beach...

We spent our honeymoon at the Maui Kai in October 2010. We booked through Donna Bender, who owns a unit there. Donna's unit was unavailable, so she found us another unit. She was very helpful and easy to work with. The Maui Kai is right on the beach and all of the units directly face the ocean. We loved having...
