Stayed there 4 weeks in Feb. of 2021. This unit has a nice fresh remodel with higher end finishes along with great views! This building is close to the road, so there is some traffic noise till 6:30 PM ,then it subsides .The Maui Vista grounds are kept nicely. Warning ,the gas grills are lousy if you like to grill. In years past this complex always had decent grills, though it seems they have went cheap on the grill stations. This unit has a Terrible bed (the worst), literally slept on the couch better! Very slow WIFI @ around 1-2mbbs if that is important to you.The stove kept blowing the breaker every time the cooktop and oven were on at the same time .On a positive note, this unit has ac in both the living room and the bedroom. Dual ac units are hard to find in Maui Vista, and are nice after a day at the beach. In short, if a comfortable bed is important skip this one!…
I booked a room at the Maui Vista (Building 1) for a short work trip through the Maui Vista website. Two days beforehand I received a text from the property manager that building 1 was booked and they were moving me to another location. Unfortunately my pre-travel COVID test came back as inconclusive/contaminated and I would need to test again to get the proper documents to enter Hawaii. I did not have time to retest so I had to cancel my reservation. The property manager would not answer the phone but he texted back almost immediately after I hung up. After several texts back and forth he gave me a 50% refund on my pre-paid room. I told him I had no choice due to the COVID testing protocols but he didn't care. Unfortunately I expected a full refund given everything going on with COVID right now and given people are not traveling. This was not the case with Will and he didn't even have the decency to talk to me directly. I was not able to rebook so Maui Vista is enjoying 50% of my money. I told the company I was going to visit on Maui never to recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui unless you are 100% certain you can make it.…
We cancelled before arrival. My reason for writing this is to warn others about the business practices of Beach Pros LLC, the company managing the unit we reserved. When we rented through Booking.com, the advertisement was very clear: Free cancellation until a certain date, and no prepayment required. But Beach Pros LLC contacted me about a month before arrival saying that if I didn't pay, they wouldn't guarantee my reservation. My mistake for not cancelling then. I paid, then we needed to cancel later, but still within the time allowed. After not receiving a refund for many weeks, I contacted the property managers who demanded to know why we cancelled before they would issue a refund. Since stating a reason for cancellation is not part of "free cancellation", I contacted Booking.com directly, and they were able to get all the funds returned except for a $55 "credit card fee". And since a missing $55 is also not "free cancellation", I continued to work with Booking.com to recover all the funds. Today, about two months after the cancellation, Booking.com issued a credit themselves. The management company never paid.…
Very nice location, view, accommodations. Nice patio to sit and eat breakfast on in the mornings. Plenty of tennis courts, beach nearby (a couple minute walk. Location close to ocean and plenty of eateries.
We just returned from a two week stay at Maui Vista. Building C Unit 3421 that we rented through Mauicondo.com. The photos online were nothing like the condo itself. The view was nonexistent. There was no indication that we were in the C building at the back. The condo was very dirty. The carpet in the bedroom on the main floor was filthy. The inside of the dishwasher was so dirty we did our dishes by hand. There were no garbage bags and one roll of paper towels. The air conditioner on the deck is held up by an old rubber bin. It wasn't functioning very well because it didn't cool the upper bedroom. The furniture was old and unclean. When you would sit on the sofa, you would sink very low. Mauicondo assured me there were beach chairs. What a joke. Two were rusted and broken and two were old camping chairs. The sheets were polyester. The water was turned off one day without any notice. We did book late (November), for January but still this was a terrible value at $4,500 for two weeks. Do not ever book through Mauicondo. The building itself is old but well kept, as are the grounds. The woman who runs the front desk needs a crash course in customer service. …
