We needed a one night stay which are hard to get. To start with...Wobbly rail at entrance. Keypad entry well worn hard to read. Smelly bathroom and kitchen. No hot water in kitchen.. One electric outlet in kitchen dead. Windows left in open positions and unable to close with broken or missing parts. No smoke alarm. No fire extinguisher. Comforter...

As other posters have mentioned, the place could use some upkeep (blinds, cabinets). However, I still think it's one of the best bargains in Hana, considering the space and the location. I stayed there for 2nd time in February for 2 nights - love the deck, the bbq, and the king-size bed. Check-in is super-easy (code is provided ahead of...

We were pleasantly surprised by this spacious apartment and found it to be a nice oasis on a rainy night. The bed and living room were comfortable. A family lived next door which we assumed included the manager, so that was comforting in case we needed anything. (Phone numbers were also listed in the apartment.) Online reservations were very sophisticated...

This was one horrible stay! We have been coming to Maui for 10 years and stay in Hana at least once or twice every visit, including Travaasa. However, this was booked with only a few days notice, so we took what we could. As you can see from the pictures, the place was filthy. The blinds have not been dusted...

Granted it was Christmas week and there were no rooms at the inns just about anywhere in tony, remote Hana. This well located accommodation across Hana Bay needs a face lift now. The size of the room is fabulous but the sofa had a creature burrowing in it and the insides were spilling out. the large bed had thin sheets,...

We stayed in one of the units at the Hana Bay Hale and while we had a great view from our unit and the location was perfect, the unit itself was disgusting. It was dirty and infested with ants, spiders, roaches and lizards. The bedding was also old and nasty. We couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm glad...

This property is just a 5-min walk from the bay. You can see the ocean and sunrise from the deck. We had 9 adults in our party and fit into the three units very comfortably. The owner/manager is friendly and easy to communicate with by email and on their website.

Four of us, two couples, stayed one night to allow us to divide the Hana trip over two days. We stayed in the two bedroom suite. The good news is that it's centrally located in Hana, walking distance to the pier, the red sand beach, Hasegawas, and more. It's also got large rooms and an ocean view (despite the electric...

First off, I booked this online directly through their site. Then I received an email stating that the one I booked was listed in error and they had another available except that the sleeper sofa was broken. Since we were a family of four the owner said she'd drop off a futon. We accepted, assuming it would be a foldout...

From reading the reviews, we knew what we were getting. We paid $140 for our family of five and paid $380 in kaanapali. The stay was good and decent. It was clean enough. We always ate outside because of the view. I am sorry for both renters who were not happy but we had an ok experience.

“There are only 3 units: two with 1 bedroom and one with 2 bedrooms. From the web site, it appears that the 2-bedroom unit has a better kitchen. A larger group can open a door to a 1 bedroom unit and ignore its kitchen.”

“There are only four rooms or bungalows, and they all appeared to be about the same. The photos on the web pretty accurately represent what you'll find.”
