The trip to Hana is not for the faint of stomach with its twisting turns so to have a place to stay was great. It's a cute little place with a great view of the beach from the lanai. We were in unit 103, a one bedroom in July. We brought our dinner fixings from a stop at Whole Foods...

My husband and I stayed at the Hana Kai for one night to stretch out the Road to Hana to a 2 day trip. The unit we stayed in, 205, was a studio ocean view room with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. There are two buildings in this resort. We were in the building in the back...

It's all about location...if you're in the "front" building, it's unobstructed views surnrises and the black stone beach of Hana Bay. Rooms are reasonably appointed and appear to have been freshened recently, however the age does tend to show. Lanais are offset so they are surprisingly quiet, during the day (when everyone is out of the hotel) it's a great...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of Hana Kai Maui. I just wanted to mention that although the office does close at 8pm, the manager's home and cell phone are prominently posted on the front page of the guest book and guests are encouraged to contact me with any problem they may be experiencing after office...

This was a nice place to stay on the wet side of the island in Hana, close to many waterfalls and the seven pools. barbecue area was good and kitchen acceptable. Hana restaurants and markets are sparse though so you may want to bring groceries from Kahalui.

Stayed in this hotel in the beginning of May and my family and I loved it. We stayed in the Hana Kai 104: “Haneo'o” room. It was spacious and the view was beautiful. It was clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook food. We enjoyed breakfast in the balcony looking at the ocean. Would definitely stay here again....

I wasn't sure what to expect with our accommodation in Hana, as I had booked it online. The website really didn't do it justice! Our apartment (unit 107) was not an oceanfront suite, but we had a small view of that black sand beach. You could hear the beautiful sound of the waves all night! The apartment was lovely, with...

After a long drive to Hana, we checked in the hotel at 6pm. I am glad that we picked the studio with loft at 202, it's spacious and tastefully decorated. At $270 a night (with tax and the single night surcharge), the price is steep, but you want to spend a night in Hana, there aren't many options. Although there...

We had an oceanfront condo! It was very clean, modern and up to date! We had all the amenities needed while we stayed in Hana. The area is so relaxing! It was perfect for the time surrounding our wedding. The condo is right on the beachfront. The sound of the waves at night is relaxing! We cannot wait to go...

We had Room 105, Ground Floor in the upper building. Although there is another building in front partially blocking the view, you can still see the black beach quite clearly. And if you had inconsiderate neighbours, no doubt your sleep could be disrupted because there is no soundproofing between rooms/ceilings/floors. We heard people on the stairs, walking in the room...
