Just finishing (still here) a 10 day trip split with 1/2 at Sensei Lanai and then Lanai Four Seasons beach and I am blown away at these places. Staying at both was a great choice (that my husband made, good job). They compliment each other so well. Sensei, the spa experiences are not to be missed. My husband did the water massage and he said it was the most incredible thing ever! Liron was the masseuse, stunning human. The Hale's are incredibly well designed. We had a lomi lomi massage, hot stone and I had a facial. Michi's facial and the spa products they chose, let me just say, I really felt transformed. We did the garden walk with David and Forest bathing, these are must do's. Staff here are world class in terms of knowledge, but also they love their jobs and it shows. Tibor and Jessica in the Nobu restaurant are so warm and welcoming! In the bar in the morning we had lovely chats with staff their too, can't recall names, but they told us all the extra things to do and they were right! Upon leaving Sensei I had a blowout with Heather which is a blow-dry not a "blowout meaning conflict fyi" and she is incredible. Best blow dry ever. The nutritional consult with Lydia and movement with Skylar were rich with information (and these two humans are also amazing) that we are already putting into place. The morning stretch and yoga classes are also soooo good. Bottom line, this place is quality all over the place. Jim conducted our "my plan" leaving interview and he genuinely embodies the spirit of this resort. We will be back! Now for Lanai Four Seasons Beach, well the bar didn't drop a an inch. From check in to all the way along, we are wow'd about a 100 times a day. I don't give a lot of reviews but I could right a book about these resorts. The views, the beach, the gym, oh gosh the gym is world class. We did the 15 course tasting menu at Nobu with Hung. It was a private experience that included teaching and interaction that was so unique special and worth it. Best dinner ever! The staff at One 40 as well for the breakfasts are all incredible. Last night we had a light dinner there too, well that was the plan and we had the Seafood Tower and our server and everyone else were so attentive, and smiley! The chef Robin came out just to say hi and thank us for joining them. Front desk staff at Lanai beach, towel attendants, beach staff, cleaning staff, the staff at the Break, do you get where I am going? It's all about the people here. We do not want to leave. Also, do the hikes here. The Koaloki ridge hike is stunning and the hike at Manele beach are really breathtaking. This trip has been a consistent WOW. Nicole McLeod…
The staff, grounds, room, food and experience was amazing. Four Seasons has a unique ability to anticipate needs and beyond that consistently add small touches through a stay to enhance an experience and create a bond like no other. From the dialogue with the staff at The Break, to the breakfasts at 140 and an engineer (Mike) who was able to troubleshoot IT-related issues with the internet, the staff makes every attempt to go above and beyond. The concierge team is amazing - Lili'u and Jay spent time forwarding ideas and suggestions to enhance experiences. Great resort - even better people. Kudos to Four Seasons - they are not a resort - they are an experience.
We stayed for a week in a beach view room and had the time of our lives. Lanai’i air transportation was seamless and luxurious and Shane and the Four Season team were wonderful and made our trip unforgettable. Every corner of the property is amazing, lush green gardens, spectacular views of Hulopo’e bay and a fitting design of the pools and property blending in with the paradise location. We saw spinner dolphins flocking into the bay almost every day and also a humpback whale breaching close to the Malibu Farm’s vantage point. The golf course is right above the property and fun to play. The practice facilities there are exceptional and the course has a relaxed resort feel. We also enjoyed the sunset sailing trip along the southern coast line and our trip to Nobu by Sensei. There is a shuttle going there every hour and the food made by chef Yoshi is the best on the island. Highly recommended. And last but not least Uncle Bruno’s craftsmanship and kindness made the stay even more special. How fun is it making hats and baskets out of palm leaves. We will be back hopefully sooner than later.…
If you're looking for a quiet, serene, relaxing luxury vacation - BEWARE! This resort will be overrun with conference-goers and they will monopolize the property, the pool, the hot-tub, the staff, and the restaurants. You won't be able to read a book becuase they'll be talking so loudly. You won't be able to get a restaurant reservation or a seat a the pool. If do get a seat, you'll have to work very hard to flag down a waiter. The restaurants will be monopolized by large loud groups of business men. The overall vibe is more like a booze cruise in college with drunk guys shouting at one another and less like what you'd expect at a Four Seasons or other luxury resort. The conference people are getting these trips for free as a company perk - but for the paying guests, it's quite disruptive and kind of ruins the vacation. In general I found the staff to be much less well-trained than other Four Seasons properties. It's a remote location and many people told us it was hard for them to find employees. So perhaps they are recruiting and training staff differently than they do elsewhere? I wish someone had warned me about the property before I spent all this money.…
The team at Four Seasons Lana'i knocked it out of the park. We had an incredibly restful an restorative stay at this beautiful property. We found every detail to be carefully considered and enjoyable, from transportation arrangements to and from Lana'i, to large and relaxing rooms, lush landscaping on-property, incredible dining, calming spa, fun cultural excursions, and a private-feeling beach with some of the softest sand that's ever touched our feet. Not just one of the top resort experiences we've had, but one of the top Four Seasons experiences, too.
This is a trophy property in a tropical paradise…the kind you dream about and aspire to visit. The property, setting, views and accommodations are breathtaking and the staff is highly attentive and gracious. It all begins with the VIP treatment you’ll receive from Lanai Air in Honolulu when you arrive at their hangar. The short flight to Lana’i on the private charter reveals the rugged beauty of the island and your First Class experience just gets better and better upon arrival at the front desk and upon entry to your room.
Beginning to end a perfect 4 day getaway for two … The staff could not be nicer or more accommodating and always going out of there way to help and always greet us by name. A nice treat. For me it’s the perfect getaway at an idyllic location. There are a number of activities from water sports to archery, clay shooting, hikes and many others. Get ready to walk as the resort is quite spread out , but beautiful everywhere. Two restaurants and a breakfast/lunch/bar setup in lobby. All are great, and we found One Forty to be our go to for service as well as the food which was incredible at e wry meal. Get ready to spend $$$$, but wow what a joy.
I recently stayed at Four Seasons Lanai and I was absolutely blown away! The location was perfect - right on the beach and surrounded by lush vegetation. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and elegantly decorated. The food was delicious and the pool was an oasis. I would highly recommend Four Seasons Lanai to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.
We visited the Four Seasons Beach Resort in Lanai and also Sensei in Lanai. I can honestly say they are two of the most beautiful and unique hotel/resorts we've ever been to. The staff at both hotels are second to none and the entire experience from top to bottom was top notch.
We were told that we could have lunch over the phone even though we were not staying at the hotel. When we arrived, we were told we couldn’t. Unbelievably, the workers couldn’t or wouldn’t make an exception even though they were completely at fault and we had no other options. We couldn’t even get food to go. It reminded me of how the young ladies were treated in White Lotus. Maybe the Four Seasons views this as a compliment.
