Of you're looking for not and now touristy locations then the Plantation Cottages is not for you. But if you love splendid beauty, the sounds of the surf, quiet country charm, with a taste of 'old Hawai' then come here. We loved this place. So relaxing, so beautiful. Cottages are charming to say the least. Each comes with a history...

Excelent for enjoying a quiet, relaxing time. Good for star gazers, as there is low light pollution. Close to exiting waimea canion. Not recommended for sea lovers, as you shoud not swim in the sea (driftwood beach).

The Waimea Plantation Cottages are so unique it will stay in your memories forever. The setting is picturesque, with gorgeous cottages scattered on well maintained grounds full of fruit and flower trees. Time completely stops at the resort and you find yourself truly resourcing. The staff is gracious and competent. The pool is great. The surf on the beach was...

We spent 6 days here with our 1 & 3 year olds and loved every minute. The grounds are stunning and the bungalows are perfectly spacious and rustic. Everything is very well kept and service was great. We slept incredible with the sound of the ocean. Can't wait to be back.

Wonderful place to stay. Very reasonably priced and because you have your own cottage, you can pretend that you own it. Location is away from the hustle and bustle of Poipu so very quiet. All surrounding areas are easily accessible.

What's not to love about this place? It's the real deal, old Hawaii at its best. You will go to sleep with the sounds of the ocean and trade winds, and wake up to the calls of indigenous birds. You will smell the blooming plumeria and feel the sweet Aloha spirit. If you want to relax and be with nature,...

My family has stayed at Waimea Plantation cottages several times in the past. Each time we were pleased with both our treatment and the accommodations. It seemed wise to make reservations here for 3 days of R&R after an interesting but at times hectic vacation in Vietnam, then head home to the Midwest. We made the reservations in January of...

This is a great place to stay for the "Hawaiian Experience". Lots of room, and generally clean. We had 2 screened porches, It could have used an air conditioner in both bedrooms. Roosters all around, calling at 3:00 A.M., so use the ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. Bar-be-cues provided .Beautiful settings, Banyan Trees, coconuts, mangoes, ocean. A great...

Had a great experience during our Spring Break stay at the Waimea Plantation Cottages. We opted for an ocean-view cottage, cottage 69. It's located right next to the pool, but had no problems with any noise from patrons or equipment. Our cottage was amazing! Honestly, when I think of the home I would want when my husband finally retires from...

We came to relax and that's what we did. It was enjoyable. Weather was wonderful. It was nicer there than the Northside of the island. The temp was about 84 and sunny. Pukadog was near and the coffee plantation.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Private, individual plantation cottages set on a historic 27-acre coconut plantation in a beachside setting close to Kauai's famous Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon. Each self-contained cottage has been fully restored with modern appliances, full kitchens, and amenities. The simple, comfortable charm, genuine history and beautiful grounds allow guests to enjoy a unique experience unlike any other in the islands. Waimea Plantation Cottages offers beautiful settings for Wedding Celebrations, Anniversaries, Family Reunions, and Corporate Business meetings. Note: The restaurant will be closed temporarily as we remodel and transition the restaurant to a new restaurant operator and will re-open in mid-to-late fall of 2013. We apologize for this temporary inconvenience. During this transition, we suggest trying some of the other dining options in Waimea Town such as Wrangler's Steak House. But do come and try our new restaurant once it reopens! ... more   less

“Get ocean view cottage!”

“Bring Everything for cooking, including salt & pepper. They provide dishes, and a few pots, and silverware. Bring bug repellent . ”
L8170ASjohnf, 10 Apr 2017 | Read review
“Cottage 69 is an older cottage so you shouldn't expect everything to be perfect. Our bathroom had some mold in the shower, but not enough to call and complain about. Realize that you're in a tropical environment so these things some times happen. Mosquitoes will get into the cottage! Just turn your lights down at night and they won't be too much of a problem. The refrigerator seemed to be turned down when we arrived, so it took a little time to get it nice and cold.”
susanpatcharinc, 8 Apr 2017 | Read review
“We booked an superior ocean view cabin. It doesn't cost much more and it was lovely. We weren't right on the beach (that's another category up) but the view was unobstructed and framed perfectly in the distance by coconut palms.”

“Rooms closer to the ocean have more ocean sounds and a tiny bit more activity.”
