Located half way between the North shore and the South shore, this resort (timeshare) hits the mark for those interested in seeing the entire island at a reasonable price. It was close to a number of things in the area Bike path, river kayak, grocery stores, shops and within 30 minutes of helicopters at the airport and horseback rides in...

Just got back from Islander on the Beach and we loved it!!!! Had a oceanfront room (room 326) that was worth every penny! Slept with the windows open listening to the surf; loved the cool ocean breeze. The hotel room looks just like it does in all of the photos shown here: tile floors, granite kitchenette counter, nice wood furniture,...

What we liked here are: Location - you can have close access to the North side of the island as well to the South and West side. Also it is walking distance from 2 good quality shopping centers with supermarkets , stores, coffee shops and restaurants. Two nice big beaches are pretty close. We could buy cheap fresh fruits on...

My wife and I stayed at the Islander in Kapaa the second week in November. It is an older facility with a lot of maintenance issues. The bathtub drain plug was broken, the bathroom fan was noisy, the toilets (both in our room and in the rooms next to and above us) made an interesting musical tone at all hours...

Aloha and thank you for your Trip Advisor. I am so sorry to read that you were unhappy with Aston Islander on the Beach. We agree, this is not the place to stay if you want room service, a fitness center or a swimming beach. We have had our share of high surf and here it is the end of...

The location of this hotel is great. Right in the middle of the island making it easier to get everywhere. Parking is tight as everyone else has stated but we never had any problems. Having the marketplace within walking distance made is easier to pick up needed things and grab a quick meal. The grounds of the complex are beautiful...

The Aston is older than most but very well maintained. The staff was really helpful. We had no problem upgrading to a third floor room. The weather was rainy on and off so the surf was rough. The Aston has a nice small pool and wonderful hot tub. A draw back was the limited parking but no problem getting a...

We had a great stay at the Islander. We loved the location! It's pretty centralized so that we could easily take trips to both sides of the island without spending a lot of time driving. Parking can be a little iffy but we were there during off-season so it wasn't as bad as I imagine it could get during the...

We have always stayed at the Islander for our visitis to Kauai..we were surprised at the atmosphere we felt this time. Employees seemed very angry and unhappy. We kind of go with the flow and enjoyed our stay there for the most part, were just surprised with how the "friendliness" of this resort was gone...really gone. Will probably look for...

Aloha and thank you for your comments. As we all know, comments from guest help us to improve on our services. I am very disappointed with the staff to read on how they have NO SMILES. Gracious Hospitality is a must at every property and it's no different here. I do hope you will give us another opportunity to show...

A good hotel with everything you need to spend the night after exploring the island. Centrally located so trips to North shore or south shore are all within easy driving distance. Motel style room with mini fridge and microwave and sink. Best air conditioner we have ever seen; no audible noise when set down to lowest setting for the night...

The only real pleasant thing to say was that the view was nice and the beach access was easy. The room was very average and the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. It looked as though only surface cleaning was done. There were brown water splashes across the wall in the bathroom and it just didn't feel clean. Parking...
