My wife and I spent the the first 5 days of our 10-day Kauai vacation at Hale Hoku, and couldn't have picked a better location to begin our trip. Close to all south shore activities yet completely private, we feel very fortunate to have found this beautiful home. When we first arrived and walked out to the lanai and backyard... More

Our family of four (four year old included) ENJOYED the private pool (we were the only ones in it--owners didn't even use it while we were there), from which you could closely view the tourist attraction Spouting Horn. Didn't think we would use a pool but we used it every day. Relaxed in beach... More

Scenic location, wonderful weather in May, accomodations less than expected, old furnishings, landlords live upstairs with heavy feet and pissy attitude, not private as promoted. Since staying there May 2003 we have found several other more agreeable locations in Kauai. Suggest shopping around.

Management response:

Regarding the negative review we received in Nov 2004. We have been in business for 15 years. We rent out 5 star luxury accommodations both in Hawaii and Huntington Beach, California. We have never gotten this type of review. I would like to explain the circumstances surrounding this reviews. The gentleman booked us one year in advance and paid us... More
