We stayed in Unit 12B last week - family of four, kids in their early teens. Everything in the listing was accurate - lovely view out the back patio, steps away from the pool/restaurant. Saltwater pool and saltwater hot tub with fine gravel on the bottom - like a foot massage. 12B had high end appliances and was literally the most well-appointed condo I've ever rented on a vacation. In addition to having all the dishes you could want or need for cooking and eating, there were many Snapware dishes for leftovers, etc. We were so grateful for the closet of beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler bags, beach towels - even pool noodles. There was a crock pot, insta-pot and electric kettle in the condo too - they literally thought of everything. It made our stay ease-filled and delightful to be in such a lovely, well-appointed condo. Oh, and a covered parking spot for the condo which kept the car cooler than if it was parked in the sun!

I will not be back to this resort again. I went to front office with my complaints and issues and they said they can’t do anything at all and told me to email. Email what? They don’t even know. I sent an email to Info@castleresorts.com, waiting for a response. We dealt w your Beach club area only for 2 days and it has ONLY been horrible service. We do pay for a resort fee to use you amenities and when you walk in, you don’t feel wanted there as a guest and not a homeowner. If I knew there was this many rules to follow (like a child) I would not have picked this resort to stay in during our vacation that we are trying to enjoy. Issues: 1. Attendant at pool constantly walking by to tell us and remind (while we are not doing anything) to not jump into pool. Yes maybe kids did a couple times but they are not overly jumping in to where they would injure themselves or anyone in any way . 2. Attendant kept speaking to my kids without my permission and telling them they will get a “time out” for 10mins if they don’t stop “jumping” in the pool. It still was not jumping. Please teach your attendants to ONLY talk to the parents only. My children, not the attendants. And to be honest, it’s borderline harassment. 3. Told we cannot bring a hydroflask with 100% water in it and they will supply us water. Not the case. More like we have to go to the bar and wait for service to get water. 4. Bar…I understand needs shirts and shoes to get in. My husband was sitting at the bar for over 30mins with no shirt with another bartender and she did not say Anything to him. His friend walks in and another bartender tells him he cannot be in the bar w no shirt. Very inconsistent. It’s an outdoor bar, let loose a little please. 5. Music isn’t allowed but was told we can play music to ourselves at a lower volume. Maybe you need to play music at the poolside. 6. Because of all the issues above, we closed out our tab of food and drinks at about $500+ And honestly it could of been more. I think we spend well over enough to at least be able to enjoy it. Was not even worth me spending a dime at the rate your service is at the bar and pool. Unfortunately, it was not enjoyable to be at the pool and to be paying a resort fee, it’s not even close to worth it. I am refusing to pay for the resort fee. Honestly, I won’t even recommend your resort to anyone or will be coming back with these rules you have in place. This is by far the worst service I have had at any poolside at any resort I have stayed in, to b honest I have stayed at many many resorts. Never have I ever seen any type of treatment we have had here at Halii Kai. Your attendants and bartenders (except Kathy she was wonderful) need training ASAP, as when I was walking around poolside…others staying here were saying the exact same thing as what I have mentioned above. It’s disappointing that the service was this horrible at the Beach Club…amenities that are part of our resort fees. We have 5 families staying at your resort, none are happy with the attitude and service they are given at the bar and poolside attendants.

Stayed here with family of 5. We had a corner unit near the pool which was surprisingly quiet. Views from buildings 13-15 are stunning but somewhat obstructed by Ocean Club in building 13. The grounds are well maintained. There was Very little communication from rental company. Upon arrival we had to check in at the office near the gate which took 45 minutes. They asked to see our safe travels code and informed us of mask rules which were subsequently not enforced on the property. There is a $20 per day resort fee to use the Ocean Club/ Pool. the pool is small and over crowded. We were rarely able to get seats at the pool. They do not allow reusable water bottles. The food was surprisingly good for a pool bar but I felt badly for the one waitress. There is no beach access.

Everything was amazing. The townhome was perfect for us with family of 6. great layout with huge kitchen, laundry room 2 lanais. Kids stayed in the pool all day. Great bar and dining service from Kathy. The only place to see the sunset. Next door to Hilton," A "beach and Lava Lave Beach club dining. Short drive to town of Kona and grocery shopping. Front desk staff as well as maintenance were very knowledgeable polite and helpful. I will always remember the landscaping as true Hawaii.

Our condo was perfect for our family reunion. We had two condos and the one at Hali’i Kai was clean, comfortable, well stocked, and a great location. The proximity to the bar and grill, as well as the pool was great. The ocean view and walking path had expansive views of the ocean and Maui. There are stores close by and more restaurants will open up most likely in the next few months. With the golf course adjacent to the complex, there was plenty of wide open space. Assistance in booking activities is easily handled by the concierge. Another wonderful vacation in Hawaii. Mahalo!
