The room was perfect and provided great ventilation. I had a tv, but mostly worked in my room. There was a cute pool on the inside court but I didn't get to swim that trip. The drive to the airport was manageable, and the hotel had a very private feel.

Like other reviewers said, if you are looking for a 5 star hotel do not stay here, but for a budget conscious traveler moving around the island this is the ticket. I is located right in Waikoloa Village in a residence. You can in fact hear people walking about upstairs as you would in any house. The rooms are fine, with the downstairs ones being better. It is worth the extra expense to get the king with the ocean view, as it has a window and patio door to allow for much needed ventelation. It is always breezy up on the mountain so ac is not a issue. It is reminescent of a small hostel, the wood paneling makes it feel like grandmas house or a hunting lodge. everyone is nice and quite friendly. Definitely has a great ocean view out the back!!!! I would stay again.

We arrived late and stayed one night, it's nothing fancy but worked for what we needed. The place is easy to find via GPS and the owners instructions for check in were good. Bed was very soft but comfy for us after a long flight from the mainland. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything from the other guest room and movement on the floor above. We had to share the common areas and bathroom with a family of foreigners who did not speak English at all so it was impossible to ask them to let us use the bathroom after one of them had been in there for over an hour, not the owners fault, just something to keep in mind.

We were welcomed in a very nice way. Our room was comfortable and cosy. Owners are friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay here. Accommodation is located just few minutes by car from the main shops and big roads so very convenient. Highly recommended.

Dont be scared by the reception, this room in the basement is not pretty, but guest rooms are OK and very clean. There are two rooms downstairs sharing a bathroom, kitchen and huge living room with two tables, there is also sitting for four available outside with a nice view... There are three rooms upstairs sharing a bathroom, there is no kitchen just a fridge and a coffee machine. So choose a room downstairs if possible :)
