Lovely private cottages, tasteful Asian decor. Moe like staying in someone's very nice home. Of course the highlight is the breakfast delivered to the room at 8 am! Host is anxious to please. Quiet and private!

We stayed in the White Lotus Suite which provided plenty of room for the two of us. The suite was spacious and situated in a lush tropical setting. The daily breakfast was delicious and the environment was calm, quiet and peaceful. John is a very gracious and accommodating host. We would definitely recommend staying at Lotus Garden Cottages.

Lotus Garden Cottages is a fabulous boutique B&B very close to Volcanoes National Park and Volcano Village, which I completely recommend to anyone looking to visit the park, or find a zen and relaxing space to simply "get away". The breakfast of fresh baked goods and fruit was fantastic, and the owner and his staff were very friendly and helpful...

Very private, quiet place to while away the hours. Great breakfast brought to the suite each morning, lots of offers of additional services if we wanted them. Only regret is that it did not rain while we were there. Cat guarded our door.

We had an amazing time at Lotus Gardens. By far the best place we stayed on the Big Island. The room was big - bedroom, kitchen, gorgeous bathroom - and the service was top notch. The breakfasts were always fresh and lots of options, and the suggestions for hikes and dinner restaurants were spot on. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We were pleasantly surprised by the tranquil and beautiful setting of these cottages. It is very green and lush, with bright flowers and lovely outside seating areas. The rooms are decorated to a very high standard. In fact it is hard to imagine that a mere 2 or 3 miles away is the Volcano National Park, with it's spectacular active...

The property, service and communication all show the same careful attention to detail. Lotus Garden Cottages is a delight of a find, and highly recommended. We stayed in two different rooms - both were very comfortably appointed and very quiet. The welcoming from John Kim was fantastic, and his team shares his zeal for making people comfortable. (Breakfast was terrific!)...

The entire experience at Lotus Garden Cottages comes from such a place of love and service. It was calm, quiet, peaceful, and so relaxing. We stayed there the last 2 nights of our trip and instead of trekking out to see the volcano, we decided to stay in and watch a movie in our room. It was the perfect place...

My daughter and I stayed at Lotus Garden Cottages for 5 days in February 2017. We loved the ambiance of the cottages inside and out. The breakfasts delivered to our door every morning were excellent. A gas fireplace warmed us, a small lanai welcomed us, and we found that every little detail aimed at making us comfortable was attended to....

Nicely appointed rooms, frankly a little crowded due to unnecessary decor elements and furniture. Air circulation requires open window and doors, so you will hear your neighbors. Breakfast of fresh fruit and breads was sufficient. The grounds are attractive. Lotus Garden is pricey. We only stayed a single night. It was over $400 when tax and an extra charge for...
