The Aloha Junction B&B is located in Volcano Village just behind the Post Office noted for proximity to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park 1 mile away and restaurants in town. Guests also enjoy the 1930's old plantation structure providing five spaciousness rooms and electric blankets for those chilly nights in the rainforest. In addition free parking and well attended-to well-behaved children are welcome.
Each room has it's own coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave but a "must have" is a complimentary breakfast including fresh-ground coffee, Papaya-banana boats along with sausages and toast or yogurt and boiled eggs.
After spending time in this "Drive-in" style National Park, most people want to include to hike. The Park Headquarters have maps to include range of difficulty ~ but evidence shows even the strongest skeptics that Kilauea is still a very active volcano.
Nice stay! Good breakfast!! Lovely setup! The best part it is very to close to park. I gave a star less as room can be more cleaner! Overall the stay was a wonderful experience! Gave a homely feel, couldn’t ask for more!
We had an excellent stay here for 2 nights. Robert was very sweet and made us breakfast (delicious papaya, banana, and fresh lemon juice) and made us feel right at home. The room was super clean and very spacious with a fridge and nice patio. The bed was comfortable, and there was a heater which was nice for the chilly evenings! The common area was spacious with lovey big windows and a fireplace. The location was perfect, it felt secluded and quiet while being close to the entrance of VNP. Thanks for a great stay!
Room was clean and spacious, location is close to the national park & right next to the food places in volcano, robert was very hospitable & made us a delicious breakfast every morning, & as an added plus, there were some elaborate christmas decorations still up when we went. Would recommend!
Pro: The bed and breakfast is a great place for couples or families visiting this area of the Big Island. We stayed in the peacock room which was beautiful, clean and had a lovely view into the garden. We'd recommend it for a 2-3 night stay, especially if traveling with a family Con: The breakfast was served communal style (in a beautiful dining room), which made us nervous due to Covid, so we took our coffee to go and waited until much later when the dining room was clear to grab a breakfast. The proprietor may consider staggering the time for breakfasts to minimize bodies in the dining room.
We absolutely loved our stay at Aloha Junction B&B. The property is beautiful, in a very quiet setting in the nature, super close to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable, well equipped and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is included and very good. I would highly recommend this place if you are going to stay in Volcano. This is much better than a hotel !
