Wonderful surroundings and landscapes . . . Too bad this hotel room was so very depressing. Cinder block walls, cockroaches, moths, and no hot water made for one bad night's stay. The one plus: a comfortable bed.

Aloha Michael, We're sorry your stay wasn't pleasant. Unfortunately, you booked a 1960's room, yes, when cinder blocks were the material of choice for building in Hawaii. We are very transparent about the age and condition of our property in our description because we know we are working with a near historic building. May I suggest booking a remodeled room...

The inn keeper was kind enough to upgrade us to the newly renovated room, which was very very nice. The room was cutely decorated and was very homey. I especially liked the Hawaiian brand shampoo/conditioner which smelled nice. The continental breakfast included had plenty of selection from coffee/tea/juice, cereal/granola/bread, yogurt, fruits, etc. I would definitely love to stay...

I hope you purchased some Ola products to take back home to Japan. They are a perfect travel size and allowed by TSA in your carry-on. Once again, congratulations on...

Cute little inn! My room was comfy and really quiet. I had a personal lanai (porch) and the room was clean. The bed was, especially, comfortable. Great area with lots of restaurants and other things to do.

A wonderful authentic Hawaiian inn. It is an older motel but crisp and clean and so well located. The breakfast was delicious and the room perfectly fine. As it has a kitchen you could manage your own breakfast or lunch etc.

They are updating rooms and we found it very comfortable. It was so lovely to sleep with the window open and enjoy a cool breeze. Just 10 minutes drive to the beach and totally different weather :) Staff was very accommodating .

I stayed in a standard queen room that had just been renovated and it was very nice. It was a little small, but I was traveling alone so it was perfect. The staff was very friendly. I love that area. Waimea is beautiful. It's cattle country, beautiful and green. It's not the "hawaii" that most people get to experience. I...
