This was a charming bed and breakfast located in a residential neighborhood between Rainbow Falls and Boiling Pots. Go to Rainbow Falls in the morning! The river that connects the falls runs along the back of the property so you can walk to the edge and hear the water. The property is amazing with many tropical fruit trees! All three...

Our group booked all 3 rooms, each with its own exterior door. We arrived late in the evening and each room had a sign with the occupant's name. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The beds were comfortable and we slept comfortably for both nights. The back yard is beautiful with fruit trees and a stream across the back...

The Old Hawaiian B&B was a perfect home-away-from-home for this traveler for two weeks in March. It was comforting to come back every night to the peaceful and attractive Bamboo Room off the shared lanai. Perhaps even better was waking up the next morning knowing Lory’s home-baked treats were about to be served, along with a large, luscious salad of...

Our room stepped out onto a wide verandah (lanai) which overlooked a huge lush garden of fruit and palm trees with a massive waterfall at the far end! Fresh fruit from the garden and home cooked pastries for breakfast (ask for the cream cheese and cranberry fiĺled croissants with an orange glaze)!! Lots of great local information from the lovely...

We stayed in the Hawaiian room for 3 nights at the end of our holiday. The room was so comfortable and quiet in a lovely neighborhood, but convenient to Hilo and the volcanoes we had come to see. I can't say enough about the breakfasts and particularly Lorys baking! Would happily stay again.

Stayed for just one night in June 2015, and this place completely exceeded our expectations. Beautiful and quiet location, lovely spacious room, amazing host and great breakfast. Room didn't have an air con but open windows and ceiling fan did the trick, we had a great nights' sleep. Bed is very comfortable. Gardens are spectacular with lots of exotic fruit...

This charming home delivers perfection in accommodations, service and local flavor. Our bed was in the Goldilocks zone - just right. Slept like when we were kids. Ceiling fan kept us very comfortable, plenty of room and storage, lovely bath, decor was very appealing and not overdone or fussy. Our hostess pampered us with a royal spread at breakfast where...

My husband & I stayed in the Hawaiian room April 19-23rd last month. It is spacious, quite room with a very comfortable bed & a large bathroom. We used the ceiling fan at night and were very comfortable. As others have noted, breakfast is delicious and Lory is such a gracious host.
