I arrived at the Hilltop Legacy for a 3 week stay after lodging at Uncle Billy's (on Banyan Drive) for one week. Hilltop Legacy is quite far from the beach, however the views from the hilltop on which it is situated are magnificent. Upon arrival I was greeted by Jade. He was a very welcoming host and gave me all...

I got the room on the end that has the original bathroom...showing its age but functional. The towels were kind of a shock, hard & stiff and felt like sand paper...they must dry on a clothes line. I'd bring my own if I came back. In contrast, the 4 poster bed was very pretty and comfortable. There is a very...

We stayed 1 night in the volcano room. The place was spotless, bathroom was brand new with 2 sinks and nice shower. From the room, we could hear birds and frogs from the surroundings. 2 patios were available to chill out and the garden was very nice. The owners were welcoming and recommended good places to eat in town. Only...

This place is nestled atop Hilo. It's not a B&B, but with all the great places Hilo offers for grinds, who cares. Use TripAdvisor; find them. The property and pond are beautiful. We stayed in the Legacy. Nice view, great lanai, dated bathroom. After poking into a few other rooms with upgraded bathrooms, hopefully the Legacy room is next. Never...

When I booked this place 11 months in advance, the price included breakfasts for myself and my wife. When we checked in and asked details about breakfast, our host said it wasn't included anymore. They had never told us about this during that 11 months. He promised to send us a VISA refund for $28 for our 2 nights stay....

I read previous reviews, and was wondering what I would get. In short: I got a nice place and had a great stay! On arrival, Jade was not there, but there was a phone to call him, and he gave me instructions how to get into the house and my room. The house is gorgeous, and the rooms are nice....

Oddly we never met the proprietor and were never told when breakfast was, and thus never had any. We did observe that it existed- though it didn't seem like anything exciting. We stayed in two rooms. Both clean but not attentively decorated or cared for. The Volcano Room bed was lumpy, but we were so tired we slept fine. The...

Despite the advertised promise of a full B&B, this facility tried to charge an extra $15 per person for breakfast. The room had a good view of downtown Hilo, but the hosts were never around (we had to call in order to obtain an entry code). The shower offered little pressure and the bed was lumpy. Avoid

We booked through ebookers bed and breakfast for 5 nights. On arrival we were told by the owners father that breakfast had been discontinued.Having paid for 5 we were not pleased. So the next morning we bought breakfast in town. In the evening we met the owner Jade who told us breakfast had been discontinued but as we had booked...
