Stayed in a queen deluxe with shared kitchen. It was perfect for us as we enjoy interacting with other travelers. If you are accustomed to staying in resorts, this would be a big change. Staff very friendly and helpful.More

Yes, you would need to fly from Hilo to Honolulu or Kona to Honolulu for your flight to Australia. We have 2 airports on the Big Island. The airport closer to us Hilo. Hope this helps.
