Only minutes from Kealakekua Bay and a great snorkeling beach, with comfortable rooms and welcoming public spaces, it's hard to believe there's a better place to stay if your destination is South Kona. Robin, the innkeeper, is warm and friendly, without being cloying, and super helpful about the area's atractions, restaurants, etc. We stayed in the Ali'i suite, and recommend...

Lovely, clean, comfortable room (best sheets ever), looking out on the yard and then out to the bay. Delicious breakfast with local fruit. Robin was a terrific and knowledgeable innkeeper, with wonderful dog Huxley. Snorkeling equipment on hand, walkable to kayak rental. Overall, a very comfortable stay, no complaints at all.

We stayed for 3 nights and loved every minute. Robin and Huxley the dog make this so special. We watched dolphins playing in the bay and geckos playing in the rafters. Great views, great rooms, great bed, great service, great breakfast. We just can't say enough about this wonderful place. We hope to come back!

Cannot say enough wonderful things! The innkeeper Robin and the sweet Huxley (golden retriever) make for the kindest most welcoming hosts. This gorgeous house looks out onto Kealakekua Bay, and is surrounded by lush fruit, flowering trees and coconut. Walk out onto the grounds and watch the sunset while lighting the fire pit, or lookout from the huge covered lanai...

Fantastic Setting with unrivaled views if the sea and a wonderful garden, only the voices of the ocean and birds to hear. Very spacious, well equipped and atttractice room of high Standard. All this topped by Robin as a very charming and professional host and excellent Cook in addition. Higly recommendable, if you look for a quiet relaxing place with...

It's a lovely, comfortable house - a home away from home - and Robyn cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable and your time on the Big Island interesting. And that is on top of the sublime breakfast she prepares every morning using local ingredients and products! Hire a kayak to get over to the Captain Cook monument for...

We finished our vacation to Hawaii with a visit to Kealakeua B&B. Robin and Huxly treated us like Royalty. We had wonderful accommodations. Made with local honey, vanilla, fruits and vegetables, and of course Kona coffee ensured delicious breakfasts. The home is open, inviting, quiet, beautifully landscaped and the view of the bay and sunset are impeccable. A wow place!...

We started our Hawaiian vacation here at the Kealakekau Bay B&B. Great pre-visit correspondence with innkeeper Robin and then the B&B and Robin totally exceeded our expectations. Views, food, the Ali'i Master Suite, that wonderful tub! Huxley the dog, Dorcey the Duck, Robin's customized breakfasts, her tips on local great places - all very fantastic! SO BIG THANKS to Robin...

Though TripAdvisor doesn't offer online prices for this accommodation, if you want a true slice of paradise, pick up the phone and make that call to secure a reservation. It really is that good After our previous disasterous experience at a certain inn in Hilo, we were ready to call it quits and forfeit our deposit with this inn. I...

This place is fantastic. I have never felt more at home while traveling, and been so sorry to leave. The Ali'i Suite is both simple and luxurious, and extremely comfortable. I listened to the waves gently rolling in the bay and I've never slept better. The views are incredible every way you look. Emily was a wonderful, friendly hostess. She...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Kealakekua Bay Bed & Breakfast and our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage are comfortable, open-air Mediterranean/Polynesian-style villas overlooking the pristine waters of Kealakekua Bay on the sunny South Kona coast of the Big Island of Hawaii, as well as being gently cradled behind by the majestic Pali (cliffs). Located in the heart of Kona's lush coffee country, this five-acre tropical estate is a peaceful and romantic haven, set amongst beautiful park-like gardens of fragrant flowers, colorful plants, stunning trees, and singing birds. We are only a five-minute walk from the ocean, snorkeling, and kayaking; also conveniently located with a ten-minute drive to stores and restaurants of our small mauka (up-country) communities of historical Kealakekua and Captain Cook – where the people still live a slower paced life of days gone by, as well as some of the best restaurants on the island! Our Bed and Breakfast provides our visitors with a lovingly prepared breakfast featuring local produce, while our Ohana Kai Guest Cottage does not include breakfast, it does allows our guests the convenience of a fully appointed vacation rental. ... more   less
