I just got back from The Hideout and cannot wait to go back. It was truly the best trip I've ever taken (and that's saying something considering I've been to some pretty awesome places in Europe and North America.) Over the last 3 years I've taken up horseback riding and after watching the Unbranded documentary on wild mustangs, I felt... More

My mother and I had the most memorable and special experience at the Hideout last week. I knew the horseback riding and the scenery would be stupendous, having read up before the trip. What I had not realized, however, was to what extent the Hideout would make the week so meaningful for us. Both mom and I found that the... More

Our family group of four siblings plus spouses—mostly beginning riders—enjoyed a terrific week at The Hideout (18–24 September 2016). We heartily recommend it to anyone—individuals, couples, families, groups—looking for a rewarding adventure in a spectacular setting. Excursions on horseback took us into the magnificent canyons and along the creeks of the Big Horn Mountains. More experienced riders went higher into... More

We wanted to go out West to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. A friend highly recommended The Hideout in Wyoming and we decided to give it a try. Not at all horse people, we knew we were taking a big leap. What a happy surprise this vacation was in every way! We concur with other reviews here that the lodge... More

The photos are genuine. The Hideout is a meticulous ranch nestled in a breath-taking setting. Our comfortable cabin was conveniently located to an outdoor hot tub and the main building where we joined a group of 23 other riders for meals each day. We met interesting couples and adults from England, Germany, Belgium, New Zealand and throughout the USA. Delicious... More

I've been here twice since May, 2016. The people are awesome from the wranglers to the office staff to the kitchen staff to the owners who ride with you on many days. They are out to please the guests in every way possible. The ranch will accommodate all levels of riders absolutely including advanced riders. Is a good spot to... More

My husband and I spent a week at The Hideout for my birthday. We are not regular horseback riders, had never been to a dude ranch, and had no idea what to expect. The Hideout blew away all of our expectations. First and foremost, the level of service is 6 stars - the best we have ever received from even... More

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Professional, courteous, caring, knowledgeable and interesting staff. Breathtaking scenery. Fabulous horses. Great food and accommodation and very personal service. Nothing was too much trouble. They catered equally well for beginner riders and experienced. The horses were well cared for and thoughtfully trained and managed. Wranglers were brilliant.
