We stayed at the Alpine motel last summer and went to Old Faithful it's about a 2 Hour Dr. to the north into Yellowstone, you do not need to book a tour. you drive up to the Old Faithful Lodge and every 50 minutes or so old faithful goes off and then you eat lunch or ice cream at the lodge! This is a must see, like a broken fire hydrant it sprays 100' in the air!
