Based on another Trip Advisor review I am not the first to lose a confirmed reservation. I reserved two nights on March 1, 2016 for the eclipse in August of 2017. The guest confirmation with confirmation number arrived via e-mail. Then in October of this year, 2016, they demanded four nights or they would cancel the reservation. I asked politely...

We made a reservation for this hotel back in January for a trip that's still several months away. The owner found out she could charge us more -- and she demanded that we double our length of stay from two to four days. I stood up to her, insisting that she honor the original deal, but she refused. And then...

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. Not only was it a great walk through history, but the room felt like staying at grandma's house. The bed was comfortable and had an old fashioned quilt! The staff, part of which included the owners, was great. They were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant and bar were also part of...

Our room was very comfortable and the Owners very hospitable. The building is historical and 100 years old, so don't expect a Hilton or Marriot. We enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was comfortable and the water was hot. Even though the hotel was booked solid, we did not hear another guest. On our next visit, we will definitely...

Our stay at the higgins hotel was very comfortable and the host's very generously managed to sort us out with a honeymoon package of chocolates and bubble bath. The only problem was that when we wanted to have a bath there was no plug. Also all the paint was peeling off the walls in our bathroom. I know the feel...

Our motor home coasted to a stop and died right in front of the Higgins Hotel late Saturday afternoon--our good fortune! The owner checked us in and we found our room to be furnished delightfully "shabby chic" with a comfortable king size poster bed covered with a colorful quilt and mounds of pillows. We later ate a delicious dinner in...

The Higgins hotel is 100 year old " hotel that will remind you going to grandma's house as a kid! Quaint, creaky floors, quilts on the bed, filled with nostalgia! No frills and no thrills but one of the nicest places I have stayed in a while. Step back in time, and you'll enjoy the Higgins.

This was a fun trip with friends. The restaurant in this historic hotel was not only charming but had incredible food. Kudos to the chef! As noted by another reviewer, there is no breakfast which would greatly improve the experience. Even a continental breakfast with coffee in the lobby would be better than nothing . Having said that, there is...

We were on a road trip holiday staying in off-the-beaten-track towns and trying to find accommodation that is different from the usual big chain bland. Thus, we ended up in Glenrock rather than Casper or Douglas and thus we ended up at the Historic Higgins Hotel. Now, I'm all for history - indeed history is what brought us to this...

Thank you for staying with us and please know we will always do our best to make our customers happy. We continue to work on renovating our rooms slowly but surely. The market in this area is competitive and our prices are actually below the average price range as most hotels around us are a lot higher than ours. We...

I'm a big fan of historic hotels and applaud the efforts of the new owners of this hotel, who have brought it back to life. It's a big job and they're working hard at it. Don't be confused if you see "Paisley Shawl" signs outside. It is the Higgins Hotel and as soon as you walk in the front door...
