This was our first stay at Kalahari. We typically stay at a different water park, but wanted to give Kalahari a try for a change. The stay started out great. The main lobby is decorated very nice. We got a complimentary upgraded room which was...More
The Kalahari seems a little worse for the wear since the last time I visited a couple of years ago. Still the rooms are clean and comfortable. They didn't have any of the newer style plugs without USB power outlets for charging devices. But there...More

Thank you for your review. I'll be sure to pass your suggestion about USB outlets on to our management team - what an excellent idea for upgrading our rooms! It sounds like you enjoyed the rest of your accommodations, including the comfort of...More
I stayed there two nights for a conference. Found plenty to do in the area as well as nice restaurants. The room was their most basic room and was very roomy. There are multiple workout rooms, some with free weights and some with equipment. The...More
I don't think the Kalahari is designed for middle aged people with no children! From check-in to check-out there wasn't anything I can really point to that impressed me.the only good service we received was from the candy store associate. Check-in took about a half...More

Thank you for your review and I'm saddened to read about your experience at our beautiful resort. I'm concerned to hear about the issues you had with your room, especially the phone not working and the shower curtain having an odor.

We stayed for one night in the Sands building. The room was fine, clean and quiet, though it was a bit of a hike to walk indoors from the room to the indoor theme park. The indoor theme park was a pleasant surprise. It was...More

We have stayed at the kalahari and Wilderness Lodge. If you are going in winter, go kalahari. Lots more indoor activities and water parks. But in summer, i like Wilderness because there are more outdoor water parks and things to do. The resorts are both theme based, so that’s about the same. The breakfast buffet at the kalahari was AMAZING!!! We didn’t try any other meals there. So if you are considering the food, go there! They both gave us extra activity coupons to go do off the resort, but we weren’t there to try them.

We have been going for the last 12 years and have always stayed at the Sands building. It is s little walk but closer than the cabins. Plus in the cold weather season too it is better than cabins. There is a covered walkway that connects the buildings. It is heated/air conditioned. The kids love to run the hallway. It is not bad at all. There are elevators or steps from the second floor to the first. I hope u enjoy your stay. We have made many memories there!!
