This is the latest addition to the Chop House chain. Whilst Kings Parade has lost its way this restaurant is pretty good. The wine list is imaginative and interesting and like the other restaurants is all from Languedoc. The food is bistro style and is good quality using local ingredients. As with the previous owners fresh fish is a speciality...

Food was beautifully presented, and it made a refreshing change to chose from a different range of dishes than are usually available for celiacs. The service whilst attentive was not intrusive and extremely professional. A bit pricey 2 courses each - £190 for 4 people, including one alcoholic drink per person. None the less we couldn't fault anything.

We called in after 2.30pm on a Sunday afternoon on a Bank Holiday weekend. They were busy, but very happy to put themselves out to accomodate us for lunch. All of the staff were very friendly, particularly our waitress - a middle aged lady who who be an assett to anywhere. Polite, funny and attentive, she made the whole visit...

Three of us stopped here for lunch all our meals were exceptional and complemented by professional, courteous service. Also the Roussanne, ‘L’ Imaginaire’ Domaine des Trinités is an exceptional wine to complement seafood. The change in decor is very good and transforms the venue. Well worth a visit.

We booked here after my brother had a great Xmas meal here last year. We arrived early but had a pre dinner drink whilst we waited for the others, it was really nice to see some different drinks on offer. My partner had a new beer and loved it. Once we sat down we were not disappointed, they adapted my...

We had not eaten at The Crown and Punchbowl for many years. Wow is all I can say. All 6 courses we tried were first class. It really was the best cooking we have experienced in a long, long time. Also the staff were warm and welcoming and the make over of the conservatory in particular were fantastic. We will...

We had a very enjoyable overnight stay here. The pub itself was a former coaching inn, and is very attractive with beautiful features inside. Our bedroom was spacious with 2 radiators which we could control ourselves – not always possible at some places. We also had a Nespresso machine and a kettle. Fresh milk was available if you wanted it....

From the moment I entered the building, the atmosphere, staff and decor were outstanding. In the room, things only improved - the plush furnishings, little touches with accessories and exceptional condition the upkeep of the room was in were all extremely positive. I highly recommend this hotel - it's beautiful and in a stunning little village. I will definitely return...

Having visited the Chop House in Cambridge and been given a £10 voucher for the group's new venture in Horningsea we thought, why not, it pays for the petrol, and if it lives up to the standard of other pubs in the group then it will be worthwhile. And we were not disappointed. Our reasonably long journeys were rewarded with...
