Nice hotel for a good value. It's in a good location and close to everything either by shuttle or car. The staff was friendly. However, there was a problem with the cleanliness of the room but the desk staff addressed it right away. The robes were not changed out from the previous guests and I know this because there were...

The nostalgia of the past is great.....from the old style elevator doors to décor of the 1920's in the lobby. Rooms are pretty modern with the exception of toilets....they could be a little taller. As for the in between.....having a Fitness Center and Shuttle that will take you to most places in the downtown Milwaukee area or within a certain...

Asst Manager could not turn down music which was too loud in bar. He said it was Manager's decision and he was not there. Seriously? What a cop out. Everyone else trying to provide good service but poor neighborhood and nothing near by. Will stay somewhere else next time. No air in shuttle van and poor tv channels.

Stayed here while working in the area and the stay was very quiet and comfortable. Check in was quick and efficient and the young man working the front desk was very polite. I love the old elevators although they are a bit small. We had a king room on the 8th floor which provided great sunset views. The bed and...

We went to Milwaukee to watch the baseball game (San Francisco Giants came to play)and we chose Ambassador hotel to stay supposedly for a couple of days.I don't mind old building but the room we stayed has the dirtiest bathroom and dustiest furnitures. We weren't sure if those sheets on the bed were clean either so we didn't use it.We have...

I was very impressed with the gentlemen that welcomed us to the Ambassador. As we walked in we were told to speak to the gentleman to our right about the shuttle to the baseball field, as we were going to see two games. He was very helpful. Then we spoke with Sam and Mr Santiago, both we very friendly and...

Hotel has great Character. Big, quiet, comfortable rooms. A good value. Convenient location to Miller Park. The shuttle is a plus. "Interesting" crowd that came from the Rave across the street. But that made the stay all the more memorable. Attentive security and friendly staff. Will stay here again when visiting Milwaukee.

Pulling up to the Ambassador Hotel, I had one thought, my long time assistant who books my travel has got some "splainin' to do". As I entered the lobby area the theme from the Rod Serling show Twilight Zone rang in my ears. Having to wait by for 3 minutes at the lobby desk until someone ( anyone) showed up...

Thank you for your honest (and entertaining!) review. The hotel is indeed a historic property, as it was built in 1928. There is a nostalgic feel to the hotel, as much of the original architecture and decorative details have been restored. We completed a $17 million renovation in 2007 and are known as a landmark in the city of Milwaukee...

I select the Ambassador frequently. It is a fantastic hotel at affordable prices. And a great location. This trip I had my granddaughter (23) and grandson (16) with me. The purpose of our trip to Wisconsin was to visit family in West Bend. But we wanted to spend a few days enjoying the sights of Milwaukee where I have many fond...

We stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed this old-style hotel. It was not so much old as it was well-preserved. Many decorative touches from the past were kept so I suppose the owners resisted the temptation to redo everything and make it look like the newer hotels. The room was up to date and very spacious.
