Yes, this is the same Days Inn. Several of the decorations and fixtures in our room looked recent or new, but in the case of lighting over the beds, there were no bulbs, so they looked nice, but were inoperative. I'm not sure what the problem was with the shower water control, but it was very fussy, hard to manipulate, made squeaky noises when adjusted, and did not allow much water flow or temperature control. The equipment looked new, but it was not installed properly. The sink faucet in the bathroom was also new, and worked well. Sounds like the workmanship in your room was much better, but it wasn't in ours.
