We hope to be back soon. The service was great, the staff very helpful and friendly, and the restaurant was wonderful. The mix of traditional regional cuisine and vegan options is rare in the region, and we were super happy with the quality of our experience. Our room was very comfy and furnished with an eye to detail. Two thumbs up from us for sure!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing weekend in the chalet! The large suite was available, so even though we booked for the beautiful Chalet dei Fiori, we were able to stay in the nicest room in the Chalet for the same price! The COVID restrictions had only just been lifted and so restaurants were still not open - the hotel prepared a delicious and authentic breakfast lunch and dinner. The chef, came out to speak to us to ask what we wanted to eat and cook us something special with local ingredients. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and it was quiet with no traffic at all, the only sound was the birds and river running nearby! They were helpful and kind throughout and I would recommend it to anyone at any time of year!

This hotel has a charming welcoming atmosphere, with a typical mountain chalet feel to it. The owners provided excellent hospitality and service, having made me feel very welcomed and safe. Lovely food available from their restaurant and good services, such as spa, free wifi and free parking. It is situated in a lovely mountainous regions and not too far to visit Lugano. I have already re-booked and I am looking forward to my next stay. Highly recommend this hotel!

actually a very nice place, charming house, food pretty good, nice dining room, and some friendly personel. All priced fairly high, rooms are pretty small, so don't get impressed by wide-angle photo shots too much. ### BUT ### What felt really a bit strange, that after you stayed there for 3 nights with a group of people, spent a pretty high amount of money on food and wine, you find yourself charged for the sauna 20 swiss francs per person per night, which sums up to a pretty ridiculous amount of money. Well, all fine, if they would let you know that upfront and make it transparent. (If you look carefully on the homepage you might find a hint, check under "massage prices") Sorry, that smells fishy, and ending up immediately in some heavy arguing with the hotel manager you don't feel treated as a guest. Sorry Mr. Manager, you messed it up, we won't return nor recommend! And most likely you will try now arguing again like you did with other reviewers. Sorry, too late, you made your choice.

Dear customer, was the problem only the cost of access to the spa? I'm glad because it means that everything else was perfect! Thanks so much. The price of the spa is written in the confirmation of your booking, and in the information in the room. I'm sorry I didn't meet your expectations 100%. Thank you and goodbye. Mauro

The beautiful Bedretto Valley is a Mecca for ski tourers. And that is exactly why we were there. One of our fellow travellers had good Stella memories from a few years ago - we wanted to repeat that. Unfortunately without success. The hotel is nicely made and furnished. But many comments of other TripAdvisor visitors were unfortunately confirmed 1:1.The price-performance ratio is not good at all: very small rooms, mediocre food at Zurich-Downtown prices, a "Wellness-SPA" that bears this name with a mini-sauna, broken shower, whirlpool, self made tea made from plastic cups, far too few or no towels at all. Wouldn't everything be really bad - with a good and warm atmosphere. The current Stella tenant or owner, however is not able to create this. On the contrary. It would probably be an insult to many bored employees of tax offices to compare him with them. Attention: the spa, which does not deserve its name, actually costs 19.50 CHF per day and person - which can be seen at the end of the bill, but otherwise only learned by chance (or by looking very closely at the booking engine, as the boss explained to me). Conclusion: unfortunately not recommendable at all - which is a great, great pity for this place.

Dear Customer, 1) the price of our small spa is written in the room in the information book, on our website, and on the booking confirmation. 2) she ate well giving us a thousand compliments, but only at the time of the bill did she realize that the price of the spa was an extra cost. He made me call (I was on vacation) and when I started talking to her on the phone she interrupted the call. I'm sorry because, if she made me stop talking, I would have given her the cost of the spa because you spent many days with us. 3) I don't accept rude and offending customers. The other people in his group were all very nice. 4) the glass of the shower in the spa was broken a few days ago. Unfortunately we are not in the center of Zurich where it is easier to find assistance. I'm sorry. It'll be fixed in a few days. Towels: We deliver one towel for each person. If you wanted more towels you could ask the staff. 5) prices like in Zurich? in Zurich, coffee costs from chf 5 to chf 7 (chf 2.50 with us), a bottle of water costs more than chf 10, and a decent dinner costs more than chf 50 per person (his dinner cost chf 19.50) 6) I have been running this hotel for over 20 years. I didn't do wrong job. I have shown my professionalism and our hotel is so successful with its customers. Thanks for being our customer. Sincerely. MAURO DIRETTORE

While booking, the manager put pressure to sell a New Year's Day "big party with music" for CHF 100. I though this is a lot of money, but if there is really good food and they are organizing a dj or a live band, its still expensive, but ok... It turns out, that it was literally a lie (at the end recognized by the manager), no band, no music, no big party, only an expensive meal that really wasn't worth it. At a fair price, everything can be forgiven, but if you are practicing high gastronomic prices, the following are not acceptable : - dry beef filet - very long time between two dishes - small portions We also asked two other tables, how they filled about it, one table was already writing a bad review on the internet, the other showed us the empty bred basket, because they also had to eat all the bred to get full, like we do... (at the end the manager gave us some extras from the vegan menu, realizing the overall disappointment) Analog to a couple of other reviews here and on google, we also had a reservation issue. Two friends asked for a room, and were proposed a very cute chalet. It appears that it was overbooked over the internet, and they had to go in another hotel 11km away. A the end on the 31. two rooms were empty at the last minute, but the manager wanted some extra fee because the rooms were better than the one originally booked... for me definitely a lake of commercial flair, even more when he made the mistake, but anyway. After a long time needed to verify and correct the unclear bill, we get a discount. At the end a lot of frustration, stress and negotiation, that was unnecessary and unwanted to begin the new year :-( It's a pity, because the staff is kind, the area is nice, and the hotel has some charm. But they definitively have to stop abusing their monopoly position in the valley, and better the organisation to prevent big mistakes.

just to understand ... could you tell me where you read that we had live music planned? on our website and on our socials it was written: with love songs music. Love songs music was broadcast by our stereo system. For the New Year's dinner I don't want to justify. You also had dinner for 2 evenings before New Year's dinner and you were able to observe the service and taste our specialties on the menu. Reception: in fact we had a big problem with the hotel management software. Any mistake was not attributable to our hotel. We apologize for any inconvenience. However, the problem was quickly resolved and we immediately found the room for you. We hope to welcome you on another occasion to show you our professionalism. Thank you very much. Goodbye. Wonderful place to stay. Lovingly decorated, very nice warmth and charm of a mountain hut. Very quiet. Wonderful restaurant with delicious treats. Breakfast fine. The spa facility cost extra, but was also worth a nice visit after a long day of hiking. Very friendly staff - go out of their way to be helpful and kind. Slightly remote, but if you want a relaxing stay in a pleasant place then it is highly recommended.

Hotel: We had a superior double and while not large, was clean, cozy, and comfortable for two people and a small dog. Our hosts were very professional and friendly, ready at any moment to answer questions and make our stay memorable. The basic spa has a sauna and jacuzzi, with very relaxing massages available. Included breakfast is standard fare: cereals, yogurts, breads, salami, cheese, and jams. Espresso is strong and tasty. Note: The water from the tap is not potable, but they make up for it with free bottled water. Restaurant: Great service. Small menu, but good quality and very vegetarian/vegan friendly. The blueberry and mushroom risotto is delectable. The pizzocan (fried gnocchi, onions, and potatoes) is a good comfort dish. Pizzoccheri was one of the best we’ve had. The tiramisu is very heavy on the mascarpone, which I thoroughly enjoy. Quality grappas available, though we did not partake.

We spend a week in this wonderful place in the middle of the Bedretto Valley. The location is beautiful. The small chalet is decorated with style. The infrastructure is not the newest, but the read di was its best to make it cozy and comfortable. They have a complicated reservation system online. Please make sure you get the same room you reserved, because this was not th case for us. We reserved the luxury suite and by the time of arriving there we found our the suite was assigned to another family because of a booking mistake. The family unfriendly stuff are the diners, they have a very complicated half board formula and a limited a la carte menu, so that if you stay therefor more than 3-4 days, you have to repeat dishes. The prices for the diner are too high in relation to the location and the quality of the food, which is anyway decent. A good tip if you’re staying there is to go one for diner to the only other restaurant within 2km , the Locanda Orelli. Really nice alpine gourmet restaurant at a reasonable price.

gentile cliente, Avete prenotato con un applicazione di google la vostra camera. Sfortunatamente la prenotazione non e' arrivata al nostro sistema di prenotazione automatico. Ma abbiamo trovato un ottima soluzione per voi. Vi abbiamo ospitato in 3 camere comunicanti. Grazie e arrivederci. MAURO Dear Customer, You have booked your room with a Google application. Unfortunately, the reservation did not arrive at our automatic booking system. But we found an excellent solution for you. We have hosted you in 3 connecting rooms. To apologize for the inconvenience, we offered you a 10% discount on the price of the room you booked online + 2 children out of 4 free (we only charged breakfast) + access to the spa for a week without paying anything. Among other things, your reservation included one person less (5 booked and arrived 6) As for the menus it would have been enough to ask the waiters for information and we could have satisfied you. We have menus from chf 17.50 per person, from chf 29.50, and from chf 39. The customer can choose according to their possibilities. However, I do not think it is nice to recommend another restaurant that, among other things, does not provide prices lower than ours. Thank you and goodbye. MAURO

Calm and isolated hotel. We loved this place for its situation in the mountains, to be close to nature for a week end. Good restaurant with vegan options. There is a spa with a jacuzzi, sauna and possibility of massages. There are some paths for hiking in the vicinity.
