900 Kandi is a forest situated in Wayanad district, Kerala. The route was good. The abundance of sceneries, breathtaking surroundings and calm weather. After a less than half an hour ride,we crossed Meppadi and entered to the 'Soochipara Waterfalls' road.It was a different off-road adventure. I really enjoyed , and definitely go to 900 Kandi.
Guys if you are looking for an adventure with your friends then this is not a place for you. They cheated us with the images they show, as no such places there. Food was pathetic as well as their service. No cleanliness on the premises as well as rooms. No facilities are given not even morning tea. Trekking was dangerous as neither they provided any safety gear not told us any instructions. Sum up- NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL.
It was a lovely and adventurous visit in the mid of the Jungle of Waynad (Kaladdi). The leeches on the way were too loving to our foot:P. Got plenty of bites. There were Tea gardens on the way i.e. Mepaddi and the lush green zone was too mesmerizing. A natural and small water lake was so captive to resist a shower almost 1.4 km away from the ElaBloom. The dinner served was yummy (chicken gravy) and we were too hungry. for the breakfast as well as we could not resist walking through the jungle all the day inspire of rains and leeches. Do prefer pick up and drop facility offered by the Homestay. Do carry your own cigarettes/liquor if you are fond of them. You will find the solace even without them. Felt so fresh, relaxed and rejuvinzed. One should stay at least for 2-3 days in the Homestay to really appreciate the beauty of the nature. Malabar squirrels were the frequent guest. The stay was a bit expensive though but totally worth of it.…
It was so good place. You will feel like inside forest. So calm, cool place. It is the best place to go with your friend gang. You will get delicious food there. Near to that you can visit the beautiful places.. cave house, stream, view point etc..
A remote and peaceful place to stay. Loved going down to the stream and enjoying a relaxing morning there. We got engaged here so it is a very special place for us! My partner has been a number of times and it was my first time. It is breathtakingly beautiful. If you are looking for an escape in nature then this is the place for you. The cave house offers a special experience - watching the stars above at night and seeing the sunrise over the surrounding forest - stunning! Yes, there are leeches (not as many as in other parts of India) and it took me some time to get used to that but most people are okay with it.
