Stayed for a long weekend to do some hiking etc. Nice, well maintained camping area. The campsite has a fantastic view. There are large grassy areas for kids/dogs to play in. The tent sites were very flat and nicely sized. We went in April so it wasn't crowded. If there were several people camping at one time the campsites would...

I've camped at Seneca Shadows several times while climbing and always found it peaceful and well maintained. I'd recommend this campground especially when climbing or just using this as a launching point for other area attractions.

Wonderful experience, clean and tidy... and beautiful views! Lots of things to do and see and experience... will be back again! The camp managers were super friendly and helpful, the restroom and shower house was nice... hot showers are always a plus while camping! :)

We made our second trip to Seneca Shadows in July 2016. This is a fantastic campground with huge sites. There are two electric loops but there are no water hookups on the sites. Two other loops are non-electric and there are walk-in tent sites with a great view of the rocks. The bathrooms/shower houses are a little older but clean...

Large group sites. Plan ahead, each group site has 5 tent platforms, 12' x 13' each and all tents must be on the platform. The bathrooms only have 1 toilet and shower on each side, so plan early in the morning or late evening to prevent waiting. During the week the campground is empty so just walk to the next...

The views spectacular! The best thing to wake up to! And the water is hot and drink able! Firewood is $7/bundle. We stayed at a summer camp group in group unit E. There was no one around at all! The tent pads are well kept, each with a lantern hook. There was a road behind the unit but you didn't...

Stayed one night here. It rained pretty much the entire time we were there. People were still out and about lots to see and do. Nature at its absolute finest. This campground is clean and exceptionally well maintained. Completely enjoyed our stay and will be back.

To start my review - the location is just gorgeous. It is amazing. It is everything you could every want for majestic views and tall mountains peaks. My family and I went last year in May and we are returning this year in August. The campground - We stayed in the 'open field' portion of the campground with the walk...

I've been visiting Seneca Rocks since the 1970's as a rock climber/caver/hiker etc. We used to camps at Buck Harper's pavilion but after many severe floods, the Forest Service built the Seneca Shadows campground high above the floodplain. I've never used the individual camping spaces although each loop looks great. Lots of trees, quiet, big sites. I've always been in...

Pros: The campsite has a fantastic view. There are large grassy areas for kids to play in. The tent sites were very nice and clean, but a bit close together. The bathrooms were quite clean. Cons: The flush toilets were a pretty far walk away. There were only two and one sink, so you will not be brushing your teeth...

“Group site D does not have a view, but is closest to the restroom. Easy walk into town”

“I don't think you can really go wrong here. The "walk to" tent sites have the best views, but little shade. The other loops from what I saw looked good as well. They seemed to have more shade, but no view. The sites are all good size and spread out enough that you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor.”
