We were traveling from the Green Bank Observatory and needed dinner and a place to stay. Businesses that are open can be hard to come by, but just before we crossed the river I spied their OPEN sign.... and they had rooms on the second story! We were greeted with smiles and after we secured our room, we sat down... More

Nice clean place to eat breakfast lunch or dinner. Basic and simple but food was great and sitting on the deck was pure pleasure! Views of the Greenbrier River and surrounding mountains were nice. Temps were cool and inviting over the river. Make sure to bring some change to buy bagged corn for the ducks, scores of ducks! Fun fort... More

Booked room with my CC but we stayed out late on the trail and didnt have a chance to check in. I gave them a call and made arrangements for checking in after hours and also ordered a meal delivered to the room so it would be waiting on us when we got there. After a LONG day on the... More

the food here was very good and arrived hot. the mashed potatoes with the steak were real and not powdered like in so many places now. it is right along the greenbrier river. the waitress was very friendly and made the meal more enjoyable for us. next time there i will go there again for sure.

We have now stayed twice at Greenbrier and love it! They serve all three meals at the restaurant below. The rooms are great for the price; around $60 a night. BIG TIP : If you book online double check and call to confirm. ..then do it two weeks prior and the day before. They lost my online reservations before. Luckily... More

One checks in at the grill. We were given a key and the code to the outside door. You go up a flight of steps and have a computer lock to that door. Then you are inside the hall where each room number is displayed. The rooms are simple. Ours was clean and not noisy. The decore is dated but... More

It is what it is: a locally-run inn in a small town. Basic but clean and friendly, the food fine. Stunning views over the river to the mountains (it was an autumn visit), everything worked but don't expect the Ritz. Friendly. The town's worth a wander round if you like quirky and enjoy talking with people.

Base room price is about 55 dollars, with 10 dollars each additional person. No military, AAA, or AARP discounts. 12% in various taxes. Children under 12 are free. Room lacks refrigerator and microwave. However, I've noticed that several other lodges in town don't have microwaves, stating that it's part of some ordinance. View of Greenbrier river is beautiful. Beds are... More

First off this is a restaurant with I think 5 rooms on the second floor. I have stayed here before so it was not a terrible experience. You have to go up the outside stairs to get to the second floor from the deck that goes most of the way around the building and ha a beautiful view of the... More

If you are going solo, this is a pretty good bet. An air conditioned room for 45 bucks, with good cable TV selection and a small flat screen. For an overnight stay for a hiker/biker, nothing wrong with this choice at all. Only issue I had was slow, late check in - room was not ready until 3:30 PM -... More
