One night's stay in this Hamton Inn, Nice Quiet room even though the hotel was full! The room was spotless and well appointed. Complimentary breakfast was particularly good and the coffee excellent. Lovely quaint town with plenty of shopping especially for antiques and great restaurants...More
The wife and I were out exploring Virginia on our weekend get away and decided to stop here and inquire about a room for the night. The desk clerk was very accommodating and set us up in a nice room. I would return again.

Lewisburg is beautiful town with several hotel options, but I generally choose Hilton brand because it is a name I have come to trust, and this Hampton is a good example. From the time you walk through the door, every employee you meet is genuinely...More

BEWARE! There are two levels of wi-fi at this hotel and we had to learn the hard way (and lost time into the next day!) that the complimentary one was not good enough to connect to my employer's network. Of course there is a charge...More

There are some good restaurants in downtown Lewisburg. Depending on how much money you want to spend. Next to the Hampton is Ruby Tuesday, Shoneys. But, if you go downtown a local favorite is Food and Friends. Another good place they say is the General Lee Lewis Inn. A new restaurant opened called the Asylum and people have said it was ok. Stella's is across from Food and Friends and is more of a French style place. Alredos opened in the mall and is a italina/greek place. I usually forget about some places as I haven't tried them.
Things to do-the Greenbrier, state parks, Snowshoe is about ~2 hours away. I have taken in the shops downtown one times, for me that was enough. Lewisburg is a very laid back town and has a lot of history if you enjoy it. The visitors center is located downtown and can give you a lot of information on the area. Greenbrier river is an excellent place to fish or even leisurely float in a tube, kayak. The trail is along the river and you can hike/walk or ride bikes.
