My husband and I stayed in the Robin room at Capernwray house. Mel was warm and welcoming, and communication was great. Mel had provided lovely cakes and a few goodies in the fridge. Mel also offered a coffee when we arrived. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The view from our room was perfect, the room had a very...

From the warm welcome to the beautiful drive away, this delightful country House was a delight from start to finish. It was very easy to find, down a quiet rural laneway, located in beautiful peaceful farmland with gorgeous views across the countryside. Parking is no problem and we were given a warm welcome and shown to the twin room, faultlessly...

We were greeted with tea and cakes in the lounge on arrival, which was most welcome after the long drive. Nothing was too much trouble for our hostess - twin room, early breakfast and check-out and info on...

Capernwray House is set in lovely countryside but very convenient to Junction 35 on the M6. Rooms are palatial - magnificent beds with walk-in showers. Breakfast was one of the highlights of the trip - fresh fruit salad followed by...

Our 3 night stay was very enjoyable, in a clean and comfortable room with some very special touches - coffee and home made cake on arrival, a fridge and fresh milk (so much nicer than the usual UHT pots) an extremely well stocked hospitality tray and luxury toiletries - plus beautifully laundered towels and a lovely view from the 2...

A real joy to stay with Mel. Great hospitality, wonderful room, and superb breakfast! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel most welcome. The house was lovely and warm while everything we could have wished for was already provided in the room. Great stay - we'd highly recommend that you book this one!

This was our first stay at Capernwray House because we were attending a wedding nearby. The setting,, accommodation, and attention to detail was excellent. We only stayed for two nights but we wishes that we could have stayed longer. Our breakfast fare was excellent and it is a pity that they do not serve an evening meal We will certainly...
