We stayed in the stables self catering. a gorgeous building. There is gorgeous views over eyeries kilcatherine point and south kerry. The self catering was perfect and built to a very high spec with a lot of beautiful small touches to make it unique well furnished with oven hob microwave and kettle.there is also a tv and wi fi. There is 2 shops in eyeries village about 1 km away and a bigger supermarket in castletownbere about 8 km away. There is ample parking. Fran was a great host very helpful. Would reccomend to anyone perfect for a couple.
Just returned from a wonderful week staying in our delightful converted stables at Cappa House B&B. The Stables is a one bedroom cottage, recently converted from an old farm building. It is cosy and comfortable with wonderful views over the Iveragh peninsula. The cottage is recently renovated and all the fittings and furnishings are fresh and well maintained, with interesting original features and decorations. Fran is a friendly, generous hostess who is at hand whenever needed with advice, suggestions and practical help. Short walk to an unspoilt beach and loads of fabulous walking and cycling in the vicinity. Will definitely be back.
We had a verg nice stay in this lovely b&b. The location was great for starting the different hikes we made and thanks to the tips of Fran they were of beautiful scenery and great views, despite the rainy weather. Fran is a great cook and delivers warm & welcoming hospitality. The room was very clean and it had all we need. In 1 word, a perfect stay that we will remember with a smile.
A great place in a fabulous location overlooking the bay (called a river but too big for that). Thrre were 4 of us in two rooms. Both rooms faced the water. The house is just outside Eyeries on the Allihies road. It is a narrow road but two cars can pass. Now meeting a bus....! Fortunately busses do not use the road. Fran is a great hostess - chatty and full of fun. A delight to meet. Our room was perfect on the ground floor and the other two were very pleased with their room. Both were en suite though the bathrooms were small but adequate. The rooms were both very big. Breakfast is in the main downstairs room and is very good - Fran asks the night before as to what requirements are, and although a Continental breakfast is included, there is a small extra charge for a (substantial) fry. This room can also be used as a meeting place at any other time. Fran can also supply an evening meal but we did not avail of this. The area is very quiet but cars can be heard in the wee early hours when it makes the only noise in the area. A minor inconvenience. We were very lucky as the weather was great - almost a late Summer. The day we left it was raining and I would not like to sight-see in that. Fran and family live at the back (attached) of the B&B but there is no intrusion on the guests. The Beare Peninsula has scenery that is out of this world. Well worth a visit, and Cappa House is ideally located to explore the whole area.…
Our staying there was perfect. Quiet and tidy location off the beaten track. Our room had a spectacular ocean view, very nice and clean ... lovely even though the bathroom was a bit small. I recommend the breakfast ... very good indeed. The owner is very talkative but not intrusive and we had a nice chat. We did forget to add the dinner which I recommend as there is just a café near the b&b.
