On our trip on the Ring of Beara we were blessed with the friendliness and quality of the locations we stayed in. This location was head and shoulders above everywhere else, and the competition were no pushovers! Therese's hospitality and friendliness knew no bounds, she went above and beyond for us on our trip - assisting us in navigating the food booking in Eyeries with the current COVID restrictions, phoning ahead to the café and helping to re-arrange our booking time as we were somewhat delayed by the length and difficulty of the cycle that day. The breakfast the next day was delicious, and we had anything we could ask for and more. Once we were done with breakfast Therese gave us directions to the Cascades, a beautiful hidden waterfall on the outskirts of Eyeries. When we returned and informed her that we would be going to Ballydonegan Beach she was extremely accommodating and told us we needn't worry about checkout until we arrived back from our morning cure of a sea swim. To top all of this off, upon our arrival, weary from the cycle Therese offered to launder some of our dirty clothes - insisting that it was no bother and that there was a load going on anyway! I cannot reommend highly enough, I'm already planning my return trip!…
I stayed here with a party of six walkers walking the Beara Way. Therese is a fantastic host and very accommodating of our needs. She offered to wash and dry some essential clothes for us and allowed us to use the washing line to dry out our tents which were wet from the previous night. She gave us advice on where best to eat and reprovision. We were keen to walk a huge distance the following day, and needed to get up very early to achieve this objective. Therese very kindly agreed to prepare an incredibly early breakfast the following morning which was delicious and would feed an army! The bedrooms and showers were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.
Stayed here recently having had to find a last minute booking to be close to a nearby event. Therese is a lovely host; warm, friendly relaxed and down to earth. Stayed in a room with a double and single bed for two of us, room not large but had everything we needed and was lovely and bright and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was very generous and tasty...also wifi was good and tv had some national channels on it...The main selling point though has to be the view overlooking the bay, it is so beautiful and relaxing and if you tire of your bedroom there is an enclosed patio/conservatory where you can sit and look at the panoramic setting and weather permitting there are some outdoor tables and chairs. Also it was very good value. When in the area again (and I hope soon as it is an overlooked but stunning part of the country) then would have no hesitation to stay there.…
We stayed in coulagh Bay house this August and were blown away by therese's hospitality. The house is gorgeous, room was super comfy and views are outstanding. We had a delicious breakfast and therese was great to provide useful tips about the area. I couldn't recommend this bnb more. Maeve
Therese is a lovely host for this great B&B. Breakfast is hearty. This a perfect spot to explore the beautiful Beara peninsula. Eyeries village is a short walk away, which has a couple of welcoming pubs and a restaurant. Make sure you give Podge a biscuit!
We were on our journey along the Beara way and stayed at this lovely place. Beautiful house, comfortable, big room, excellent bathroom. We enjoyed very much a delicious meal cooked for us by Therese. Thanks a lot. Recommended highly!
We stayed here and enjoyed our visit to Eyeries. It is a colorful and relatively unspoiled Irish village where you could enjoy yourself for a week or more. The house has a beautiful view from the lounge, though not from the rooms we had. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of choices. Therese was friendly and helpful, and made reservations for us at the local Bistro. I’d stay here again.
Just had a great overnight stay Theresa very welcoming and helpful and room was superb with an ideal location for walking into eyries and the strand etc and exploring the sensory garden. Great location, great host, great breakfast and would definitely return and recommend to friends and family
Such a beautiful sunroom to relax and gaze out to the bay. Therese was so friendly and accommodating to our dietary needs. Lovely little town and guest house. Great breakfast with a beautiful mixed fresh fruit bowl.
My husband and I stayed one night in October and were very impressed. Therese was very welcoming. Her house is spotless, warm and very relaxing. Fantastic view. When the local Bistro couldn't accommodate us for dinner Therese drove us to Castletownbere. This worked wonderfully as we got to sample the award winning Seafood Chowder at the Beara Coast Hotel. Her breakfast was also great with the most wonderful fresh fruit salad. I hope to get back there soon. Mags.
