A different hotel and a change from the plastic chain hotels, old fashioned charm, welcoming staff and top class, beautifully presented breakfasts. An ideal spot to explore central Washington State and the Mount Rainier National Park.

We have stayed at Birchfield several times over the past 20+ years. The last two times we have been very disappointed. The room has been none to clean, the carpet badly bleach stained, the mattress and bed linens beyond horrible. One reason for booking there has been the incredibly good dining room. This time it was closed so they could...

We went to the manor to stay in a place where we could feel like we had taken a trip back in time. It is the perfect place and setting for those who want that feeling. The rooms are quaint, with evidence of time taken to create a certain atmosphere. The views from all of the rooms, old accommodations and...

Rooms were in need of refurbishment, and the breakfast was a triumph of style over quantity or choice. It was more expensive than the other places we stayed on our road trip but the lowest in terms of quality. The gardens are nice.

We stayed in the Blue Willow room of the cottage. The carpet was filthly; not just in our room but in the hallway between rooms too. The bathroom was outfitted for wheelchair access with a "roll in" shower and nothing to keep the water from going all over the floor (the curtain was outside the edge of the shower instead...

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent weekend staying at the Birchfield Manor while touring the Yakima Valley wineries. The place is a large old farmhouse set in a lovely grounds amid hop fields and vineyards. We enjoyed its old-fashioned comfort and charm. We had the Elizabeth room in the main house, but have previously stayed in the newer building. Rooms in...

Where to begin? The room was overall just sad. The carpet was stained and filthy, and I was glad I brought my slippers. The hot tub in the room was stained and uninviting. Not to put too fine of a point on it, but the room just had the over all impression of being old....perhaps untouched since the 70's. The...

We had a lovely evening meal here, great wine to accompany so no co paints about tat. However, the rooms we were offered to choose from were badly outdated, musty, dull and not worth the cost. There is a big mismatch between the quality of the food and the quality of the accommodation, great food and rather poor quality rooms....

We made a late reservation for a anniversary night out and were warmly welcomed. Our suite was in a nearby building, not in the main house. It was very nice. The decor was a little off , odds and ends of things. Victorian, rustic and some roman columns ! But clean and comfortable. As it was early spring the grounds...

My husband and I were coming to WA Wine Country to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, which happened to coincide with the Red Wine & Chocolate weekend. My husband found Birchfield Manor and I am so thankful he did. We have never stayed at a B&B before, and it was such a wonderful experience. It's a great location to visit...
