We went with a group of 4 couples (two dogs and a little kid) and the Farm House was a good size. The last couple did sleep on a pullout couch, but for 3 couples each will have their own room. Clean, BBQ, nice bathroom, walking distance to the river, huge yard to play outdoor games. The restaurant onsite has...

Really cool design for a camping alternative. It's basically a metal box but w/ glass at the top to let in light. One end is entirely open (screen) to allow a nice breeze in. The other end is the bedroom that has a platform bed with a comfortable cushion mat under anther thick foam mattress m. There is a powerful...

Glamping with a modern touch. Rolling huts are a 10 minute scenic drive from Winthrop. With amazing views, peaceful atmosphere.Rain or shine it's a great experience! The huts are clean, quiet, with comfy bed, lots of light. We loved that it had a heater and a chimney... Very cozy and great for a small family and or a couple and...

I wanted to love the rolling huts but the experience fell short of my expectations. Situated on a lovely piece of property between Mazama and Winthrop, the Rolling Huts has the environmental makings for a quiet retreat. The property design allows one to forget that you are situated on a Highway. At the front of the property is a restaurant...

Stayed in "Farm House". Fun idea for two children. Surrounded by large well kept lawn. Pleasant wood interior.New dishwasher and refrigerator. Dogs accepted. Kelly's restaurant next door had great service and fabulous food. Welcomed toddlers. Rest of house's condition was incredibly poor, as was the service. Help from management took 2 DAYS to respond to emails and phone messages. Back...

Gale, I'm sorry your stay was disappointing! Unfortunately, however, the conditions you describe are quite exaggerated! I responded to your complaints within 24 hours, not within two days. The back steps are "rustic" weathered plywood but not dangerous. I can see how they may be difficult for toddlers or older adults but when I offered to remove them, you declined....

The tents are clean and spacious. The Manager was friendly and helpful. The negatives, grass not mowed, millions of mosquitoes because of the tall watered grass. Bathrooms are quite clean, but no roof so there were bugs there, and take a towel as there are none to dry your hands after washing, There were signs everywhere warning about bears and...

Dan, thank you for your feedback! We water the grass fields for several reasons. Primarily, it keeps the fire danger down for our location. Obviously, this is critical in our climate. Secondly, it actually keeps the area a bit cooler. Finally, green grass is prettier than dried out, yellow grass. That said, the mosquitoes do not come from our watered...

The huts are simple but very nice, they are minimal but perfect for someone who doesn't love camping in a tent. The drive from Seattle is beautiful. The bathrooms were clean and the water was easily accessible. Very fun!

We didn't stay in the rolling huts, but we stayed in the safari style tents that are behind the huts. The inside of the tents is good. They have carpet, 2 windows you can zip up, a screen door with fabric for privacy, and 2 cots. The electrical outlet is outside the tent so bring an extension cord if you...

My wife and I spent 4 days here, it was the perfect getaway. they are cozy minimal cabins with beautiful wood burning fire places. The trails around them were spectacular, and Winthrop, and Twisp left us wanting to come back.

Took a quick one night stay out of Seattle. The drive across the mountains was spectacular on some of the best road in the US (closed all winter... watch out!). The huts are close together and you can hear other guests, although not to distraction. Location is great. Cute bar/coffee shop on site with friendly service. Design of units is...

“Huts #3 and #5 (or 6) are the furthest forward in the "herd," so you look out onto the meadow, flanked by Aspen, anda ra bit removed fromt eh "big house." So you get a better sense of solitude. Ask if there is a big party happening wehn you book, some peoepl find it hard to be around a large group of people having fun when seeking peace and quiet.”
