My girl friend and I stayed at Swallow Nest Cottage/Bird Blind located on the Bluff top on Maury Island connected to Vashon Island. We loved the place. Bob the manger was kind and answered all our questions about the island. The cottage and bathroom were clean and appointed very cute like time had passed it by, and very romanic place...

They ask for your top 5 choices of houses and then place you in a piece of crap house after telling you they would try their best to put you in the house you wanted. Really? Why do people put up with that? Don't do business with these people. Unreal.

I cannot stress this enough: DO NOT STAY HERE. I stayed in the Lady Bug cabin. The lot is hard to find in the dark - there are no signs at the driveway. After looking for twenty minutes, I called the owner and got no response. Upon entry, the vertical blinds were dirty and missing 6-7 strips of the blinds....

Because after you realise how miserable this place is you will never get your money back. No extra charges for holes in roof. Dirty, filthy, moldy and to much other disgusting things to remember. A great way to ruin a trip. The room was called the Blue Jay, should have been called the buzzard pucky!

Li'l Abner would feel right at home. This is the all time worst place to stay. Almost everything in their adds is a total misrepresentation. We have been traveling cross country and had not planned on staying overnight. We saw their add and thought it would be a nice place to relax. What a mistake. We arrived after dark and...

We stayed in one of the small cottages where the front yard overlooks Mt. Rainer (if there aren't any clouds). Not fancy or high on amenities, but comfortable and cozy. Very quiet with a nice hiking opportunity nearby. In need of some upkeep and yard is overgrown. Like I said, rustic.

The cottage "Bob" rented had holes in the ceiling, a clothesline which had mldew and snapped, windowframes falling apart, paint coming off everywhere, and holes in the shower. I call the owner "duct tape Bob" as nothing is really repaired- duct tape everywhere. On top of that he asked 5percent more money to pay by credit card and 35 dollars...

If you want a fancy, pricey, bed turned down with a mint on the pillows, place this is not it. However, if you want a comfortable, peaceful, quiet, and clean place to retreat to, you will not do any better than this. The little cabin was rustic, clean, and comfortable. My sister and I stayed there for two nights. The...

“Do not stay here- even if apparently some cottages are better than others. The owner should not be renting some of these out!”
