My wife and I have been fortunate enough to stay in B&B's throughout Europe and the U.S. and we have found that The Old Consulate Inn is by far one of our favorites for a number of reasons. The building is immaculate and very beautiful. The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and full of great character. Breakfast is amazing! However,...

This is a delightful place to stay in the beautiful Victorian town of Port Townsend, which lies along the Strait of Juan de Fuca just a few miles south of Canada. Our second floor suite was HUGE and had two turret rooms, which we loved! The views from our suite were amazing! This B&B is filled with antiques and has...

This is a beautiful Victorian mansion and we had a very large room with sweeping views of the water. Innkeepers are friendly, professional, and understand your needs. I was thankful to be able to ask for a low profile pillow, for instance. Bed was a very comfortable king size. Breakfast table was full of good food and talk. Would stay...

When you walk through the front door of this B&B it is like taking a step back in time. It is absolutely beautiful. This is not for everyone as there are no televisions at all in the home but that is part of the charm. I did not miss it one iota. The rooms are all different and all beautiful...

My wife and I loved it! To be fair, this inn is not for everyone. Read their website, and read the bad reviews. If you want a TV, brand new furniture and decorations, AC/Heater that can freeze/melt you, elevators, 5 page menus, or any other attributes of a modern hotel, then you need to go to a modern hotel. Not...

We had a lovely stay at the Old Consulate Inn. With 16 guests, this is not a small B&B - and yet the experience was intimate. Guests have the run of the house's lovely garden (with gazebo and wide porches when you need to get out of the rain). Also open to guests all day long are the living room,...

This 1887 Victorian bed and breakfast was a delightful surprise. On the top of the hill overlooking the harbour the rooms were all decorated as if you had stepped back into the past yet all the modern day comforts Situated a short walk from a main street it was more than expected. We stayed two nights which was the perfect...

Worth the high season pretty penny. Clean and beautiful. A sweet house dog, the innkeepers wear period clothes! Played pool in a cool basement next to a suit of armor! Breakfast itself was a delicious detail oriented delight! Room had views of the Port, hot in August, they brought a fan. Delicious coffee, their own blend, sipped on a porch...

The house is charming, the property relaxing, the owners are welcoming and the food is great. Conveniently located, with comfortable beds and lots of character. When I go back to Port Townsend, I will schedule it around being able to stay at the Old Consulate.

This place has a charm all its own. It really was a consulate in a former life. Cindy and Nathan have owned it for 5 years and are wonderful hosts. They use their own blend of coffee for the expresso machine and it makes coffee like I remember having in Italy. The 3 course breakfasts are to die for and...
