I have run the capitol city half marathon for the past 4 years and have stayed here each year. Mainly for the convenience of being right across the street firm the start and finish line. And always I was allowed a late check out no problem, This year there is apparently new management. I was told when I checked in...

This is my 5th year staying at The Governor for the Capital City marathon/half-matathon event. This year the hotel inexplicably delayed the start of breakfast & discontinued the free continental breakfast they've done in prior years. They also declined our request for late checkout - 1 of the perks they've offered in the past for runners. We overheard others getting...

The hotel is full renovated with extremely comfortable beds. It has all the amenities, a microwave, safe, fridge, etc. The view was beautiful and it was located in the heart of Olympia. The walk along the lake is only a short distance away.

Fantastic location... def go check out the night life of 4th st. It is also a walk-able distance to the state capital building where you can take a free guided tour! Great hotel, bed was comfortable, bed linin sheets and duvet) was very nice. Elevator was a little slow but a minor inconvenience.

Across from the old City Hall, walking distance to anywhere you might want to go in downtown Olympia. Nothing modern or fancy, everything you need: comfortable beds, hot showers, good coffee, a flat screen TV, and friendly people.

The room was nice and the king bed was very comfortable. There was lots of car parking and check in was friendly and smooth. The lifts were old and a bit slow but all in all a good place. My only real disappointment was that after we had left I discovered there was a free continental breakfast which would have...

Stayed a full week - great location, great price, great service! Free parking was awesome! Crazy great staff very responsive and friendly. Lack of a/c was disappointing but likely not required in Olympia. Restaurant food and staff were outstanding, though pricey.

This was our first stay at the Governor and choose it because of it was conveniently located in downtown Olympia. Making the reservation took way longer than it should have, at times it seemed like we knew more about the hotel than they did with them answering questions by reading the online text back to us verbatim, not helpful. The...

We've stayed here a several times in the past few years, and always had a great stay. No such luck this time around, as we had a terrible experience. After checking in and heading to our room, we were "welcomed" by the room next door. Turns out it was a group of people that had adjoining rooms, and they were...

Stayed here when my dragonboat team went to Olympia for a race. Nothing special, but good location right on the downtown square. The night we were there it was also the annual Art Walk. Really fun. And the Luminary Parade passed right by our window. Very festive Mardi Gras type of parade.
