The hotel location is perfect for exploring old town Olympia, it is easy walking distance to great restaurants, a lovely old theater, the farmers market and the capital complex. Rather old fashioned but clean with fresh updating. My room was huge. Very comfortable stay with so much space. The view of a park and the original capital building was nice...

This stay worked out nicely for my wife and I. Downtown Olympia, a small city, was very accessible on foot from this central location. We walked to our event, as well as to a dinner restaurant, some bars and to the waterfront for a Sunday AM walk. If we had business at the capital or other state offices those would...

Hotel staff argued with my husband during check in and at check out. The don't have anyone working in the morning around 8 am so calling for any type of room service was useless. The rooms looked like they painted over everything just to make it look new but it actually needed some updating. The parking lot was small and...

No complaints, except when we made the reservation they were serving a complimentary breakfast. At no point were we informed that this was being discontinued on April 1. We planned our morning based on having this breakfast and then had to change our plans causing us some inconvenience and being late for a meeting.

We loved how everything was in walking distance. We could walk to the Capital from the hotel, the view of the lake from our room and the park across from the hotel! The check in was very smooth because the front desk receptionist Jahkayla was just the nicest person to deal with! Later that day we had another girl that...

The hotel is centrally located in the capital area. There were many options for resturants and coffee shops within walking distance. Hotel also offered a complimentary breakfast that was satisfying. Coffee/Tea in the lobby is also a great convenience to grab a cup to go as we headed out for touring.

Older hotel in great location. Walking distance to everything we needed. Capitol Lake is behind the hotel and a charming park in front. I was really floored by the location in the heart of Olympia. I parked my car (for free!) and didn't need to drive it again until we left. Will definitely stay again.

Where do I start? The unprofessional service at check in. The painfully slow cramped and noisy elevators. The unfinished rooms and antiquated (not in a good way) furniture. The toilet that backed up and forced our move to another room. The request for bedding for the hide-a-bed that resulted in just 2 blankets being delivered. The use of 2 remotes...

No internet. No tv working. My room key never worked properly. Given new key card and they still did not work. Average breakfast. Friendly service but awful facilities at least for us. No offer of discount because we purchased our room through Travelocity. Will never stay in a Coastal hotel again.

As a kid, growing up in the area, I always imagine staying at this notorious property, and now I finally have. If you're looking for a good deal, right, smack dab, in the middle of the city, and don't mind a property that shows it's age a bit, then this is the place for you. The rooms were clean and...

“This is more of a motel than a hotel”

“We were told that the air conditioning system does not operate during the winter months due to central controls. We found it to be a little stuffy even with the littlest amount of heat on. We inquired with the front desk, they sent a box fan. We resorted to opening the sliding door ajar and it provided the perfect amount of crisp air to take away the stuffiness.”

“Lake view rooms get very warm with the afternoon sun. Close the drapes & open window or turn on a/c. Room safe needed a good smack on the door while unlocking to open. Common issue with these kinds of safes.”
