Visiting friends camping at Deception Pass, we opted to stay in a nearby hotel (The Coachman). They were pet friendly and conveniently located. I thought they were pricey given that it was a nice, small town hotel, but they were cheaper than other places nearby and appeared to be just as nice. The room was clean and comfortable yet someone... More

Enjoyed our stay at Coachman - were there to visit our son at Whidbey NAS. So the jet noise was music to our ears! Good breakfast - especially the waffles. We had a nice kitchenette - but did not use most of it, since provided a nice breakfast. Close to everything -- only complaint was we were on 2nd floor... More

The spacious room in the 2 Queen Kitchenette is very comfortable with a couch/sitting area and room for luggage for four, very comfortable beds. Also a small patio. The bathroom is tiny, one has to maneuver around the toilet to get in. Luckily the sink/dressing area is separate. Breakfast is definitely not that of a 4 start hotel: dried lumps... More

We stayed here for a couple of days. Having never been to Oak Harbour, we needed some suggestions on restaurants etc. The night staff, Brea & Justin (I think..sorry) were excellent!!! They had great suggestions on two restaurants an we weren't disappointed. They also had a list of good restaurants in the area, with a map. Brea also suggested a... More

This property is convenient and has everything you need. The rooms are large and comfortable with a couch and chair, dining table and a small but well-equipped kitchen right down to the wine glasses and pots and pans. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the flower baskets on the rail of the second floor were lovely.

This hotel is stuck on the 80's or thereabouts, but the rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast is the usual fare and good enough. Shower pressure is a bit slow. Fair amenities. Good enough for a couple of nights.

So my situation is a bit different than most. I'm currently living at the Coachman Inn in Oak Harbor, WA. Needless to say I have been here almost two months now. It's always quiet and the guests are very polite. The staff is phenomenal! They go out of their way to make me feel at home here and take care... More

I visited this hotel for 8 days. The kitchenette room on the 3rd floor was very practical. It overlooked the church parking lot and was well away from the highway, nice and quiet. It had a bar fridge, a 2 burner stove and a microwave and coffee maker. The decor is worn, but the housekeeping service is good. The curtains... More

THE GOOD NEWS: (1) The lobby staff was outstanding- patient, friendly, attentive, professional. (2) Hot breakfast was plentiful & good. THE BAD NEWS: We'd pre-booked their most expensive type room==> kitchenette, BUT... (1) The toilet in our room (#226) was initially very slow flushing, & by 2am it wouldn't flush at all. We didn't/couldn't use it all night. (2) In... More

The room was clean and comfortable, the people were nice. There were lots of restaurants in the area and well as stores. The location was good because we could explore the whole island and with plenty of time to get back to the hotel for dinner.
