My stay at The Walden House in the Equestrian Suite was very comfortable and clean with plenty of amenities. The fresh towels, linens, and delicious food made my stay feel like home away from home. The accommodations were exceptional and I was pleased to find the rooms were quite spacious and welcoming. I appreciate the privacy given while I was...

We were in an emergency situation and needed a place to spend the night in Newport, which has only 2 other motels. The owners, Farren and Jolene Walden, were more than helpful, for which we were quite grateful. This bed and breakfast, located on an acre, has many added features, both inside and out, making it especially nice for families....

One of our stops during our 7 day cycling trip. We had pre-booked the Walden House and was glad we did. Farren welcomed us, giving us a tour and opening up his home to us. We stayed in the Harmony Room, which was very clean and comfortable. We had access to the back yard, which was very relaxing and quiet....

I would recommend staying at the Walden House Inn to everyone traveling to the Newport Area. We were greeted upon arrival by Allen. A very nice young man whose parents own this property. He showed us around the property and explained how they did things such as breakfast. We were shown our room The Equastrian room. It was a large...

My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to stay near Spokane, Washington, but we didn't have any reservations. The Walden House was more than accommodating in getting us a room on short notice. They even upgraded our room to the jacuzzi suite free of charge. The location is perfect, as it is right next to beautiful trails that...

After a last minute discovery that our National Forest campsite was closed due to wind damage, we were hurriedly looking around Newport for somewhere to stay. We were welcomed at the Walden House Inn, even though we arrived later than most people typically do. The house is amazing, the gardens were inspiring and clearly well-cared for, and the room and...

It was like sleeping in someone's house who wasn't home. Sure, someone met us at the door, but it was clear we were taking away from their regular activities, and they could hardly wait to give us our room keys so they could leave. It was kind of a mess and they appeared rushed and distracted with their kids and...

I stayed here a few times while visiting family in Newport. The openers couldn't be friendlier. I have stayed I two different rooms and both were pleasant and comfortable. Everything is low key here. Breakfast is self serve but anything you want. From cereal, yogurt to eggs and pancakes. I highly recommend this charming B&B.

I stayed at this B&B for 5 nights in late April 2014 for business reasons. The couple who owns and operates the place were very accommodating and personable. It was a clean and safe place to stay. Amenities included refrigerator w/small freezer, microwave, TV with satellite, and a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was self-serve and included juices, coffee, teas, cold cereals,...
