If you want cozy, close to the beach, shops and eating establishments Akari is where you want to stay. There is a great on site manager named Kathy that is such a great asset for the properties. Every time we ran into her she wanted to know if there was anything she could do for us. We have never had... More

What a wonderful place to stay! Very nice bungalows. BUT, its the little things that were there. The manager Kathy is very personable, helpful. Our place had it all, fresh coffee beans for coffee in the morning, hot chocolate to enjoy by the fireplace, popcorn to watch movies, after a long day of activities. Loved our stay....Thank you Kathy, we... More

All the cabins are beautifully appointed and stocked with care. We travel quite a bit and have found that hotel beds are never comfortable, however, the beds at the Akari are great! Nice and firm and plenty of blankets to keep the crisp ocean air at bay. This was our second time staying here and we will be returning. They... More

This was our third stay at Akari, and we cant say enough about this place! We would never stay anywhere else when coming to Long Beach. Each bungalow is different and each just as amazing as the next. The kitchenettes are clean, well equipped and come with a coffee grinder, beans and creamer! The towels are fluffy and there was... We've been staying here for the last few years. The units and location are great! Kathy always does her best to make sure we're comfortable and have everything we need. Would definitely recommend for those looking for more than the traditional hotel room.

My husband and I spent three nights in these recently-renovated bungalows, and were very pleased with the cost, comfort and amenities. We stayed in unit 3 which has a kitchen with barstool eating area, bathroom, ample living room and a wonderful, most comfortable bed in the world, king-size bed in a separate bedroom. We haven't slept this well in ages!... More

These are great little cabins within walking distance of all the main attractions downtown. We stayed here on a clam digging weekend and it was great. Everything was clean and the price was reasonable! We would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Akari Bungalows. They are very comfortable. You get all kitchen essentials, plush towels, and a very comfortable bed. Kathy, the manager, was great. She made us feel right at home and made sure we had everything we needed. They are located in a good place. They are within walking distance to stores, restaurants,... More

Just spent two nights at Akari Bungalows, and had an amazing time. The manager was friendly, helpful, and professional. Our bungalow was cute, and well appointed. The bed was king size, which was unexpected and extremely comfortable. Clearly, a lot of thought went into the overall comfort and needs of the guest. I look forward to returning!
