I was amazed at the beauty of this place and how nice the staff were. Originally booked the Pocahontas room, but was upgraded to larger suite. The overall feel of the lodge was breathtaking down to every detail. My plans for exploring the area had changed a bit, as some of the beaches were closed. Staff gladly recommended a short...

We appreciate the kind words in this (and the previous) review. In the winter season and at other times when we're under-occupied, we do offer upgrades to a larger room whenever this is possible. Our staff takes considerable pride in knowing the area as well as day-to-day conditions, and can usually suggest an alternative sight-seeing plan if the anticipated one...

After a long drive from Port Angeles, we wended our way through misty woodlands to a charming cabin nestled at the base of a giant redwood. We had two rooms that were beautifully appointed with forest themed decor and comfortable beds. There was a delicious breakfast packed in the fridge and dark roast coffee available. Our dogs loved it, though...

We loved our two nights at Manitou Lodge and wished we could have stayed longer. The setting is a total surprise with giant trees and a small intimate lodge for chatting relaxing, reading etc. Breakfast in a basket is a great way to go when you want to move on to your planned adventures and Ty made a great pot...

We very much appreciate the kind words of this guest, especially after the discouragement of the immediately preceding review. We are an enclave among the big trees, make a real effort to provide an interesting and comfortable experience, and are delighted when guests appreciate us and enjoy their stay. Management here makes a sincere effort to extend true hospitality, and...

I was so happy to see the beautiful Manitou Lodge. Really amazing, secluded area in the Olympic National forest. I arrived about 6 pm ready to relax after a very long drive. When I entered the lodge I was immediately overwhelmed by the vast amount of stuff. I couldn't take it all in. All I wanted to do was get...

This and the immediately following review are from a very unhappy couple. Both provided comments, and, as a result, we’re getting “both barrels”. We sincerely apologize for not meeting their expectations, and truly wish that their stay could have gone a bit better. However, from their comments it seems that the experience was doomed the moment they walked in. They...

We were really excited about this trip. The setting is beautiful but the accommodations were cramped, unclean and uncomfortable. We couldn't wait to get out. However, if you like lots of clutter and dust, this is the place for you. Our room was small and the bathroom was tiny so it was difficult to get comfortable. Nice little table and...

This isn't your usual B&B but if you are looking for somewhere calming where you can retreat this is the place to go. It had the most serene atmosphere. It's not luxurious in any sense and the pink bathroom is old fashioned but boutique is not what you come to the Olympic Peninsula for. We stayed in the Lily of...

We wanted a place at the last minute near Rialto Beach and Manitou Lodge turned out to be perfect. The grounds are serene and in perfect harmony with the Olympic Peninsula rain forest. The main room of the lodge is a comfortable place to enjoy a complimentary hot beverage while you play one of the games they have to lend,...

We had a very nice stay at the Maintou Lodge. It is in the middle of a beautiful forest, and the lodge was very cozy. The breakfast in a basket was good, with plenty of food, and it was nice to eat breakfast in our room. The room was comfortable and quiet.

I'm not sure I've ever written a trip advisor review but this property deserves it. I wrote this review for Yelp. Over the years, I've gotten more stingy with my 5 star ratings but I have almost nothing negative to say about ML. I booked online a few days ahead of time (on Wednesday for a Saturday night). The pictures...
