After a hard morning of angling, we stopped at the Hungry Bear Cafe for lunch -- which turned out to be an excellent decision :)) We were greeted by very friendly and polite wait staff, who took our order quickly with a nice smile... when our food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at the large portions, and more than pleased...

We ended up here by accident during the summer when all other spots were full. The owners were friendly, the food was filling and delicious--especially the lumberjack pancakes--and we stayed in a small, but pleasant cabin. It was clean, maintained, and cozy. A little expensive? Yes, but you're in small town Washington and there aren't many other options. A little...

We stopped here for a quick breakfast and we were not disappointed. The food portions were big and all was great. Was a nice rest stop to relax from the highway. Make sure to sign the guest book. The bathrooms were a bit dated but hey it's a small place and low key.

We stopped at the Hungry Bear Cafe as we were just driving by and hungry, and we were not disappointed. It's not fancy. It's a simple, small town American cafe. The cold meat sandwich I ordered was HUGE and delicious. My wife had the french dip and she was not disappointed.

Well our food was delicious, but our service was outstanding!! I had a Philly dip and I was impressed that not only the fries are homemade, but the roast beef was more like pot roast (not thin cut deli meat)! My husband had a club sandwich and homemade clam chowder that was also good. But the service made my day....

We had read reviews about how awful the place was but found none of it to be true for our visit. We stayed in a basic room. Clean. I didn't see one spider dead or alive. We stayed 2 nights. The bathroom was very clean and the towels were fluffy and white. We also ate at the cafe one night....

Walked in for two coffees to go. Surly waitress. Browsed the menu as we were camping next door and I was looking for a dinner place. Menu looked decent but after the horrible service and awful coffee (I didn't end up drinking) a repeat visit was a definite NO.

Possibly the best french fries I have ever had. Homemade hand cut with skins on. The server talked up the freshly homemade pie so we ordered berry and apple. A fork couldn't penetrate the crust it was so tough. The berry filling was passable but the apple was applesauce like with too much cinnamon. I would return in a heartbeat...

I stopped here after seeing Sol Duc falls. It's a cute little place with friendly staff. The owner showed me where we were on the map and told me some good sites to see in the area, where to fish, etc. The food was good, I had a burger and homemade fries which were delicious.

We stopped here on the way to Forks, WA and were pleasantly surprised. They have Wi-Fi and we needed to check some business correspondence so it was very convenient. We ordered burgers and fries and the portions were huge and my patty melt was terrific. We did not see any other restaurants and we were very glad that we stopped.
