We were delighted to have found such an ideal getaway lodging not far from the DC area. The beautiful natural setting near the Shenandoah river was convenient to many local antique stores and the inn exceeded our expectations. The proprietor Ed was the perfect host, resourceful and we enjoyed talking to him. Our room had a fireplace with a lovely...

This was a very unexpected surprise for my us! What an amazing place to stay. Such a beautiful historic place. The room was stunningly perfect and the service from Ed was even better. We got in later than expected and Ed was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The next morning breakfast was served by Ed and...

We loved the history of the place. Our room was clean and comfortable with fresh cut flowers even though it was February. The Innkeeper Ed was a great host and we enjoyed our conversations with him. We wish had more time to stay. We will be back.

Stayed on a weekend and were the only guests due to bad weather. It was our best B&B stay ever! The Proprietor, Ed, is a true host and excellent cook. Pure bliss. Highly recommended (and I am very picky).

We were there for a hot air balloon ride that did not take off due to wind, the host at the inn were so kind in a way it made up for being let down by on being able to go up in the balloon. Since we have to return to the area, we will be staying here again!!!!

We just spent three nights at this historic inn on an antiquing trip to the Shenandoah Valley. We found the Inn to be quite comfortable and the Innkeeper to be wonderfully friendly and entertaining. Our entire experience was wonderful! We would recommend the Spring House restaurant and Spring Hollow Antiques. We enjoyed watching our Cleveland Indians win the American League...

We have stayed with Ed and Ellen several times over a period of about 30 years, and each visit is nicer than the one before. The setting is beautiful and tranquil, the accommodations comfortable, and the innkeepers hospitable and helpful. On a recent visit, they even remembered my birthday - how they knew i'll never know! Truly a pleasure in...

There is no denying the Inn is historic, and is in a nice setting, with the Shenandoah river at the bottom of the garden. I do realise I'm in the minority here, but it's not for me. The dim lighting and "Stink Bugs" made our room feel uncomfortable, the shower room needed an update and the price seemed very high...

My husband and I stayed at the Inn at Narrow Passage this last weekend. What a charming and beautiful historic Inn!! The Innkeepers, Ed and his wife, were a very charming and welcoming couple. The property was gorgeous and the rooms were very nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We would definitely stay at this Inn again...
